Bhaba pass Trek - Short Itinerary
- Day 01: Drive from Shimla to Kafnu (Drive - 7-8hrs)

Bhaba Pas Trekking Itinerary ( Option1 - Via Tesa)

- Trek Route :- Shimla - Kafnu - Mulling - Kara - Phustirang - Bhabha Pass - Baldar - Mudh - Kaza - Kunzum La - Chandratal – Manali
Day 01: Drive from Shimla - Kafnu (208km/7-8 Hours)
Meet Holidaytravel team at the decided place in Shimla by 7:00 AM and we start long drive to Kafnu through Narkanda and Rampur. Kafnu is a small hamlet in the Bhabha Valley, Kinnaur.
Check in to the hotel there for an overnight stay, Tomorrow we start trek to Bhaba Valley starts.
Day 02:- Kafnu to Mulling ((3,100m - 6-7 Hours)
Leaving the village of Kafnu we head eastward over a well-defined path through luxuriant forests of Pine and Deodar. You are rewarded with excellent views of the Spiti and Kinnaur mountain ranges. Amble amidst apple orchards and an easy to follow forested part. With a trail that is moderate in nature, it would take you around 6 hours to arrive at Mulling meadows. Once there, take in the natural beauty that abounds. Evening camp at another tiny settlement at Mulling.
Day 02:- Mulling to Tesa / Fushtring (5-6 Hours)
Trek along the Wanger River and a forested green valley. A few stream crossings are involved. We reach the Bhaba Pass base and camp on the banks of the Wagner River.
Day 03:- Tesa to Baldur (5-6 hours)
Crossing the Pass we descend down a steep incline to the camping site at Baldur.
Day 04:- Baldur - Mud (3-4 hours)
We are now technically in the Pin Valley and on the periphery of the Great Himalayan National Park home to Ibex, Snow Leopards, Himalayan Black and Brown bears and numerous birdlife. Mud is a small hamlet and we camp just outside.
Day 05 :- Mud to Gulling (3-4 hours)
Walk along the valley floor, pass green fields of potato and barley and enjoy the magnificent views of the barren landscape and towering mountains. Camp outside the village.
Day 06:- Today we walk up to the Kungri Monastery high up in a rock cleft.
There is also a new monastery here now built with the assistance of Japanese Buddhists. The older monastery contains precious frescoes and manuscripts dating back to the 11th century. Moreover, there is a possibility of catching one of their colourful masked dances. Evening return to camp.
Day 07:- We take transportation to Manali. Where we reach by late evening and check into a hotel / guesthouse.
Bhaba Pas Trekking Itinerary ( Option2 - Via Kara)
We have second option to Bhaba Pass via Kara ( from Day 3 onwards)
Day 03: Trek from Mulling (3,100m) - Kara (3,550m)
This exciting day of the Bhaba Pass Trek, Pass through river crossings and natural bridges. Enjoy the sights of vibrant alpine blossoms. Enroute meet local shepherds who adorn traditional outfits.
Arrive at Kara meadow after a steady climb. In Kara enjoy the stunning view of peaks that lie on the border of Kinnaur and Spiti; tonight you will be sleeping in tents.
Day 04: Trek from Kara (3,550m) - Phustirang (4,000m) - 3-4 Hours Trek
Day Highlights: Hansbeshan Peak, Riverside Camping
After Breakfast, start from Kara and enjoy the trek to Phustirang. Witness the mighty Hansbeshan Peak whose height is 5,840m. Arrive at the river side camp ground and reax. Tonight, you will be sleeping in tents.
Day 05: Trek from Phustirang -Bhabha Pass (4,850m) - Baldar (3,900m) - 6-7 Hours
Day Highlights: Bhabha Pass, Pin Parvati Pass View
After Breakfast, Start Early in morning and start ascend to the Bhabha Pass. Trek is steep and there is always heavy snow. Take steps slowly to reach Bhaba Pass. Once at the top in Bhaba Pass, Enjoy the great 360 degree views and see the surrounding mountain ranges and the famous Pin Parvati Pass.
Take a short break and start descent down towards the Spiti side through the stunning landscape of Spiti, basically grasslands and mountains of various colours.
Tonight you will be sleeping in tents in Baldar.
Day 06: Trek from Baldar- Mudh (3,740m), Drive from Mudh - Kaza (3,800m) (2hrs)
Day Highlights: Pin River, Mudh Hamlet
After breakfast, start the 2 hours trek to Mudh. Enroute witness purple hued mountains, Pin river. Reach Mud Village after 11:00 AM. Enjoy the charming Village of Mudh, Have lunch at the Home stay at Mudh.
In the afternoon - Drive to Kaza. Evening at your leisure
Overnight stay in the Kaza hotel.
Day 07: Drive from Kaza - Kunzum La (4,550m) (75km/2 Hours),
Trek from Kunzum La - Chandratal (4,270m) - Optional
Day Highlights: Kunzum La Pass, 3 Hours Trek, Chandratal Lake
Enjoy your breathtaking drive to Kunzum La. Once at Kunzum La, You have option of trek for around 3 hours to the campsite near Chandratal Lake. Relax in the turquoise waters of prestine lake ringed by high mountains.
Overnight stay will be in tents.
Day 08: Chandratal (4,270m) – Manali (2,000m) (Trek & 6-7 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, Trek to get to the road head. Once there, Proceed on drive to Manali via Rohtang Pass. At Rohtang pass spend half an hour enjoying the maggie and tea and samosas..
Reach Manali by the evening and end of your Bhabha Pass Trek.
