About Dandi Path

Dandi Path Yatra is well known for  Namak (Salt) Satyagraha, also known as the Dandi March and This movement was a protest against British Govt and his Namak monopoly. This was marked as an important event for India's independence history.  This Dandi March or Satyagrah headed by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi, started from Sabarmati Ashram, which is situated near Ahmedabad, to the Dandi village's sea coast, near Surat, Gujarat.
