Upon arrival at Delhi airport or railway station our representative will pick you with warm welcome and take you to Rishikesh which is a most pious place of Hinduisms. Enroute stop for lunch at Vijay Hotel & Restaurant which is located in Muzaffarnagar. After having a lunch you will continue your journey to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check into your hotel to have some refreshment. Later in the evening visit Triveni Ghat for taking holy bath on the bank of Ganga river after that return to hotel.

Ram Jhula: Ram jhula is located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of Rishikesh at Muni Ki Reti. There are some of the Hindu ashrams and religious centers like "Gita Bhawan", and "Swargashram" located here. It is famous by the name of the goddess Rama. Ram jhula is also known as Shivananda Jhula.

 

Lakshaman Jhula: Lakshman Jhula connects the borders of the Tehri and Pauri district. The Trayambakeshwar Temple and Sri Raghunathji’s Temple are the attractions around Laxman Jhula. The name of this bridge is is provide Laxman jhula because the Rama younger brother Laxman crossed the ganga by the jute wood on this bridge.

Koteshwar Temple: The cave temple of Lord Shiva is located on the banks of river Alaknanda. There are several idols which have been formed naturally.

 

Chorbari Glacier: The snout of the 6 km. long glacier is about 3 km. from Kedarnath temple. River Mandakini emerges from into the Alaknanda at Rudraprayag. About 2 km. from the temple is the glacial lake of Gandhi Sarovar between the rock face and right lateral moraine of the glacier.

 

Vasuki Tal (6 km.): The charming lake at a height of 4135 meters is surrounded by lofty peaks. It affords an awe inspiring view of the Chaukhamba peaks.

Dashrath shila Temple: Located on the banks of a water stream, Shanta, Dashrathshila Temple is a must see attraction of the city. It is believed that Shanta has been named after the daughter of King Dashratha. According to Hindus mythology, King Dashratha performed self-punishment at this place and a small hill is situated nearby this temple which is supposed to be the King Dashrath’s throne. Dashrathshila Temple is a famous temple for Hindus.

 

Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev Temple: A famous spiritual destination of Devprayag, Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev Temple was built by Adi Sankaracharya who was the founder of Advaita Vedanta. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, and houses idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganapati and Lord Kartikeya.

 

Prayag – Sangam: Prayag is visible from the Road, It is reachable through the Bridge. Devprayag town is located around holy prayag and is a must visit. Place where Alaknanda and Bhagirthi meet, is well marked and has bathing ghat as well as worship area. There is daily evening aarti at the confluence. You must visit The Confluence to see the divinity of the place. It is said that lord Rama did pray at the confluence to pay homage to Sage Bhagirath at this place. Badrinath Temple: Badrinath is the most sacred Dham of India. It is located at an elevation of 3,133mts above sea level in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. This Dham was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century. The deity of Badrinath temple is Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated on the right bank of the holy Alaknanda River. The colorful ‘Singh-Dwara’ at the entrance is very artistic creation.           

 

TaptKund: Tapt Kund is a natural thermal spring where the devotees take a holy dip as it is very important to take a bath before visiting a temple. Brahma Kapal: Brahma Kapal is a place where Hindus performs propitiating rites for their deceased ancestors. Brahma Kapal is a flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. You can see several pundits sitting with ‘pooja samagri’.

 

Mata Murti Temple:  Mata Murti Temple is dedicated to the mother of Lord Narayan. According to mythology Mata Murti prayed Lord Vishnu to take his next avatar by coming out from her womb. Lord Vishnu then happily agreed and came into world as twins, Nar and Narayan to kill a monster. Every year a fair is held in the month of August at Mata Murti Temple.

 

Charanpaduka: Temple lies a beautiful meadow carpeted with wild flowers in the summers. A boulder bearing the footprints of Lord Vishnu is located here known as Charanpaduka. It is said that when Lord Vishnu descended from Vaikunth he stepped on this boulder. The area is a steep climb from the town and is full of caves & boulders. This path leads you to the foot of Neelkanth peak where you can find several Brahmakamals.

How to reach Rishikesh from Delhi

By road:  you can travel to Badrinath by road. Bus and taxi services are frequently available.

By Train: Take a direct train from Delhi station to Dehradun that takes around 5 hours. From there take a taxi from Dehradun to Rishikesh. Dehradun railway station is located in the heart of the city

How to reach Joshimath

By Road: The best option is to travel from Delhi by road. Delhi to Haridwar is 229 kms. on National Highway no. NH-47 the climb from Haridwar to Joshimath is 257 km and takes about 13 to 15 hours. The ascent to Joshimath winds through Rishikesh, Srinagar, Karnaprayag, and Chamoli. We suggest a stay at Rishikesh/Rudraprayag to break the journey if required.

By Train: Nearest Railway Station is Rishikesh / Haridwar which is connected from Delhi by Shatabdi Exp., from Bombay by Bandra-Dehradun Exp. and from Calcutta by Howrah-Doon Exp. and from Lucknow by Gorakhanath/Doon Exp. Rishikesh to Joshimath by road. Road from Joshimath to Badrinath opens Mid May-mid November subjected to normal snowfall

Guptakashi:  It is situated 47 km before Kedarnath and it is famous for the holiest shrine of Lord Shiva. This town is bestowed with great religious significance town adorned with the many ancient temples and believed to be a part of epic Mahabharata.

Ardhnareshwar Temple:  It is perched at an elevation of 1319m above the sea level housing two ancient temples namely Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Ardhnareshwar Temple.

Manikarnik Kund: It is another popular destination in the town. In fact Guptkashi serves as a perfect stopover for those travelling to Kedarnath. Koteshwar Mahadev Temple: This temple is in the form of a cave and is located on the banks of Alaknanda River. Devotees believe that Lord Shiva meditated in the cave on his way to Kedarnath that comprises idols formed naturally. Tunganath: Tunganath Temple is one of the prime tourist attractions, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on the top of Chandranath parvat and is surrounded by the forest. This temple consists of sixteen doors and 2.5 ft tall Adi Guru Shankaracharya statue along with lingam.
