2016 Durga Puja Package Details

Udbodhoni (17 and 18 October) package includes all night pre-puja tour and will cover pandals at College Square, Mudiali Club, Badamtala Ashar Sangha, Kashi Bose Lane, Baghbazar Sarbojonin, Ekdalia Evergreen, Hatibagan Sarbojonin, 66 Pally, Singhi Park and Park Circus.

Sanatani-I (8 AM to 12:30 PM on 20 and 21 October) package consists of Durga Pujas in Khelat Ghosh Bari, Sobhabazar Rajbari, Chhatubabu &Latubabu’s House, Chandra Bari, Rani Rashmoni’s House, Thantania Dutta Bari and Baghbazar.

Day 01: Arrival at Kolkata

Arrive at Kolkata airport or railway station and you will transfer to hotel and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Kolkata

Day 02:  Attending Durga pooja in Kolkata

Vivekananda Setu :  This is a bridge over the Hooghly River in West Bengal  it is a multispan steel bridge and was built to provide road and rail link between the Calcutta Port and its hinterland The first train that ran across the bridge was named Jagmal Raja Howrah Express The Bridge was built with eight spans laid at distance of 300 ft each. The length of bridge is almost half mile with 10 km approach roads on both sides. The foundation laid with well-sinking 100 ft down the river beds, girding, erection of abutments, arching was all done by Jagmal Raja.[3][4] This Railway bridge is also important in annals of History of Railway in India because the Railway for the first time crossed over River Hooghly and reached Calcutta at Sealdah Terminus

Writers Building:  The Writers' Building often shortened to just Writers This originally served as the office for writers of the British East India Company, hence the name. Designed by Thomas Lyon in 1777, the Writers' Building has gone through several extensions over the years.The giant pediment at the centre is crowned with the statue of Minerva. The terrac  also contains several other statues and notable among them are four clusters of statues, christened 'Justice', 'Commerce', 'Science' and 'Agriculture', with the Greek gods and goddesses of these four streams

Eden Gardens:  Eden Gardens is a cricket ground in Kolkata, India. It is the home of the Bengal cricket team and the IPL's Kolkata Knight Riders, as well as being a venue for Test, ODI and T20I matches.[3] With a seating capacity of 66,000, it is the largest cricket stadium in India, and the second-largest cricket stadium in the world behind the Melbourne Cricket Ground. St. Paul's Cathedral:  St. Paul's Cathedral is a Anglican cathedral in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, noted for its Gothic architecture. It is the seat of the Diocese of Calcutta  It is said to be the largest cathedral in Kolkata and the first Episcopal Church in Asia. It was also the first cathedral built in the overseas territory of the British Empire. The edifice stands on Cathedral Road on the "island of attractions" to provide for more space for the growing population of the European community in Calcutta in the 1800s.

Mother House:  After Mother Teresa left her mortal body in 1997, she was laid to rest in a tomb inside the house where she lived and served.
