Day 1 :- Jammu - Katra ( 60 km )

Pick up from Jammu Airport/ Railway station  and proceed to Katra, after 02 hours journey reach Katra , check in hotel, evening your leisure, overnight at hotel.

Day 02 / Vaishno Devi Darshan 

After freshup  proceed to Maa Vaishno Devi cave for Darshan, after darshan in evening back to Katra and overnight at hotel.

Day 3 :Katra  - srinagar   (265 km / 9 hours)

By Air: The beautiful state of Jammu and Kashmir has three domestic airports that are nestled in Srinagar, Jammu and Leh. Major airline companies such as the Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, etc offer frequent flights to this enchanting state.

By Road: The state has an outstanding road network that connects it to the neighboring cities like Delhi, Katra, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Shimla, Leh and Ambala. Best time to visit in Jammu and kashmir

Most parts of the Kashmir valley are a year round destination with winter increase the natural beauty. It snows in the winter months in and around Srinagar and winters can be very cold but Gulmarg, particularly, is a popular winter games destination. Jammu has fairly hot summers, so the best time to visit Jammu and Kashmir is between October and April.

Things to do in Jammu & Kashmir

Angling: The Dal Lake in Kashmir Valley is home for a variety of fish species like the Rainbow and Brown trout. You can also hire a local guide to take you around the lake in a shikhara help spot the fish. Other water streams with trout are River Sindh, River Bhringi, and River Lidder. Jhelum River also offers opportunities for those looking forward to fishing. One of the largest fresh water fish, Mahseer is found in here. The best months to fish is in the months of May and June and September and October. Pahalgam is also a well known spot for fishing. Fishing in lakes and rivers requires permit from the concerned local authority office.

Note: It is not allowed to catch more than six fish in a day.

Golfing: Gulmarg: There is a large 18-hole golf course in Gulmarg which is located at an altitude of 2732 meters and here you can have a game for a day using hired clubs. The spacious lush green lawns provide excellent slopes for golfers. The best time for golfing is in the summer months starting from May to September in the bright daylight.

Heli-Skiing: Kashmir is the second most famous destination for heli skiing and this sport requires great energetic level along with suitable skills to perform this adventure activity. However the best time to visit the place is in the winters at the time of snow fall. Since the Kashmir is located at a high altitude, to avoid altitude sickness drink plenty of water. Also avoid taking alcohol, tea, soup, and sleeping pills as it adds on to your sickness.

Ice-Skating: Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Srinagar are the ideal destinations in Kashmir for ice skating. Gulmarg lies at an altitude of 2,650 meters above the sea level. The temperatures here drop to 0° C and even to negative sometimes making the conditions most suitable for this activity. The best time to visit this place to enjoy the activity is in the months of January and February. Travellers can get their own equipments or else can hire from the nearby shops at a moderate price.

Mountaineering: The Nun-Kun Peak is considered one of the most challenging mountain range in Ladakh by the mountaineers. Apasaras, Chong Kumdan and Teram Kangri group are the well known peaks in Kashmir and in Ladakh the Stok-khangri Massif, (6150m) Mt. Nun (7135m) and Mt. Kun (7077m) are some of the famous peaks in the Zanskar region popular with climbers. The peaks around Leh are Gulap Khangri (5900 m), Matho West (5950m), Kantak (5275 m) and Konglacha (6700m). Further north, off the Nubra Valley stretches the awesome Karakoram Range. Most of the Karakoram peaks fall in the restricted areas and special permits required by climbers. Climbing season begins in the middle of May and lasts till October; the best time is during the summer months of June to September.

River Rafting: River Indus in Ladakh along with some of its major tributaries offers a splendid rafting expedition for beginners as well as experienced travellers. The charges are around Rs. 500- 900 approx and additional fee is charged for hiring guide, helmet, and life jacket. Zanskar River in Ladakh is also a good spot for white water rafting. Travellers are required to have proper equipments like life jackets etc for this adventure activity or else they can also hire them from the nearby camps at reasonable charges. Monsoons should be best avoided for rafting because of the strong currents prevailing in rivers.

Skiing: Skiing is one of the adventure activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Keen winter sports enthusiasts heading off to Kashmir can enjoy the pleasures of pristine snows and challenging ski runs in Gulmarg and Khilanmarg. The slopes stretch to 3 kms making the surface smooth for skiing. Patnitop in Jammu is also one of the few areas that receives snow fall in winters making an ideal destination for skiing. Ideal months for skiing start from November till February.

Snow Boarding: Gulmarg and Khilanmarg in Kashmir Valley are the well known spots for this activity.

Trekking: There are many well known trekking trails around Leh and Ladhak which are Spitok-Hemis in Marka Valley, Likir-Temisgam, Stock-Matho, Lamayaru-Chilling, Padum-Leh, Padum-Darcha. Rupshu Valley, Nubra Valley, Indus Valley, and Suru Valley also boast some amazing treks. Other well known treks in Zanskar Valley include Ladhak-Zanskar Trek, Padum-Zangla crossing the Zanskar River, Markha-Zangla, Pensi La-Padum and Karsha-Lamayuru.

The Chadar Trek in Zanskar is equally famous for trekking on frozen water of Zanskar River. One also has an option of this outdoor activity in the northern region of Pir Panjal Range, Kashmir. Beginners should make a first attempt only with a good trainer as the altitudes are very high. The best time for trekking is in the months between June and September.

Note: The Kashmir Valley, one of the most scenic of places for these activities is no longer safe for trekkers and campers.

Water Skiing: Dal Lake and Nagin Lake in Srinagar are the lakes where water skiing can be done with fun and enthusiasm.
