About Lahaul Spiti

Earlier Lahaul and Spiti were two different districts of the State of Himachal Pradesh, India Kardang was the capital of Lahul and Dankar the capital of Spiti. Finally the two districts were merged and found status of a district in 1960.

Day 1 & 2 : Delhi - Shimla

Travel from Delhi to Una. Overnight hotel stay In Una & next Day Sight Seeing around Una (Mata Capurni Darshan) Then proceed to shimla.

Day 3: In Shimla


Enjoy sightseeing important tourist destinations around Shimla( kufri, naldehra, WildFlower hall etc).


Day 4: Shimla - Sarahan
 

Visit the Bhima Kali temple. Continue drive to Sangla. Overnight at the camp in Sangla.


Day 5: Sangla
 

After an early breakfast, drive to Chitkul, the last Indian village before Tibet & back to Sangla. Overnight in Sangla.

Day 6: Sangla - Nako
 

After breakfast, drive to Nako, a quaint little village situated in the upper Sutlej valley. Arrive Nako by late evening, followed by O/N stay in camp.


Day 7: Nako - Sichilling
 

After breakfast drive to Tabo and visit the monastery. After lunch continue drive to Sichilling. Overnight in camp.


Day 8: Sichilling
 

After breakfast drive upto Dhankar monastery, which is perched on mud cliffs. Return to camp for lunch. After lunch drive to Pin valley to visit the tantric Gungra monastery. Overnight in camp.


Day 9: Sichilling - Losar
 

After breakfast, drive to Ki monastery. Drive on to Losar.en route enjoy delicious lunch. O/n in camp.


Day 10: Losar - Manali
 

After breakfast drive towards Lahaul, crossing Kunzum Pass (5440 m) the highest point on this road to Kulu valley. On arrival in

Manali, check-in to the hotel.


Day 11: Manali
 

Spend the day visiting the Hadimba temple, Nagar, Manali Bazaar etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 12: Manali - Delhi
 

Drive to Bhuntar for flight back to Delhi / drive to Delhi or Chandigarh
