Itinerary of Summer Holiday Kids Special to Mumbai

Day 1: Arrival at Mumbai and Evening at Marine Drive

Kids with their parents are picked up from the Airport/Railway station and taken for check-in at hotel. In evening family is taken to marine drive for a lovely evening. Spend time here; visit Colaba market for high street fashion shopping and accessories for kids. In return pass thru the famous Worli Sea link of Mumbai. Return to Hotel in Andheri for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Goregaon Film City Tour

After the early morning breakfast at the hotel family is taken to Sanjay Gandhi National Park situated at Borivali, where kids and their parents can enjoy the morning doing boating and Park train safari. The kids get to see the lions and tigers and old caves. You can have lunch at one of the many restaurants at the Thakur Village at Kandivalli East.Thakur village fast known for international fast food chains Burgers, Pizzas and sizzlers. (I don’t recommend the fast foods to children.

But they are in their vacation. Once in a while its fine)Post lunch proceed to the two hour Film City Tour at Goregaon.The internal bus tour takes to the various shooting locations  and sets usually seen in televisions Soap operas and Bollywood movies. There are chances that you might happen to watch some celebrated stars of Bollywood and Television!

Day3: Fun filled day at Adlab Imagica

Have a early morning breakfast at hotel and proceed to 3-4 hour drive to Adlab Imagica.It is advisable to leave early to escape the office time morning killer traffic.(even a ten minutes delay in Mumbai morning can make you stuck in traffic for hours. You are travelling with kids so don’t waste their precious time in traffic, avoid office hours). The kids will enjoy the simulations’, rides, indoor roller coasters and the fun-filled events at the Adlab Imagica.Return to hotel in late evening and have a dinner at the hotel.

Day4: Kidzania and SMASH

Have a breakfast at the hotel. Today is the day of many experiences! Family is taken to the R City Mall known for the unique kids experience “Kidzania”(Highly recommended by author).Your kids can have hands –on experience of whatever profession they choose to take. They can be chef, pilot, doctors or a fire fighter and get paid for their services too in the Kidzania currency!They get the debit card in Kidzania currency which they can use at the in-house Kidzania ATM .A one of its kind experience unique to Mumbai in; Kidzania is the fulfilled as well as educative at the same time.

Later you can have a lunch in R City Mall. Post Lunch proceed to the Lower Parels’ Phoenix City mall for a extraordinary experience at SMASH.Intresting and pure fun for kids and parents alike, SMASH offers  hours of fun with simulated real feel games as well as bowling.Return to hotel in late evening for dinner

Day 5: Departure from Mumbai

Appropriate time to visit Mumbai

Mumbai can be visited year round; however the months of May and October are hot. The winters are not chilly and very pleasant. Ganpati Utsav and Navratra is the festivals of Mumbai. The city drowns itself in the nostalgia of Ganpati Utsav and Garbha during Navratra. Take your kids to various ganptati pandals in Ganpati Utasav and for play Garbha during Navratra. The Bandra festival and Worli Festival both have a carnival like feel and are marked by the cultural and music performances.

Places of Interests

Sanjay Gandhi National Park

Located at Borivali about 12 km from Andheri,Sanjay Gandhi National Park is the local favorite for day excursions and school picnics. It houses tigers and deer. A toy train takes our small guests and their parents too around the park for the guided tour. Kid gets to spend time with their parents doing boating.

Goregaon.The Film City 

Goregaon film city is located at 8 km away from Andheri.The two hour Goregaon Film city tour provides the glimpse into the backstage life and events of the television and Bollywood. The recently started guided video bus tour takes around the various sets and location that are usually the part of Television Industry and Bollywood sequences. You and your kids get to watch the shooting. Your kids will thank you and brag about it to their friend for whole year and thereafter!

Adlab Imagica

Adlabs Imagica is a recent addition to Mumbai’s existing entertainment list and is the amusement theme park near Khopoli away from Mumbai-Pune expressway.
