Later visit Kufri which is a small hill station in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh state in India. It is located 13 km from the state capital Shimla. The name Kufri is derived from the word kufr meaning "lake" in the local language. Kufri has a Himalayan wild life zoo which hosts rare antelopes,  felines and birds including the Himalayan monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. After that return back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Jakhoo Temple: One of The famous place of Worship At Shimla is Jakhoo Temple. Jakhoo hill is located the famous Jakhoo Temple of Shimla. It is hardly 2 kilometers from the Ridge and is an uphill climb through the beautiful deodar trees. The Jakhoo Temple of Shimla is dedicated to the monkey God, Hanuman. The temple is located at the Height of 2455 meter and situated at highiest peak in Shimla.

The temple was built in the year 1845 and is dedicated to Goddess Kali who is also known as Shyamala. Shimla derived its name Fom Goddess Shyamala. 

The Himalayan Nature Park : Sprawled across 90 hectares and comprising of a diverse range of western Himalayan flora and fauna, the Himalayan Nature Park (also referred to as the Kufri National Park) is home to a large variety of animals.

Mahasu Peak: This is the highest point in Kufri, so great views are a given-on a clear day you can even see the Badrinath and Kedarnath ranges, but the best way to do it is by undertaking the challenging hike through a thick forest.

Hadimba Devi Temple: Manali has many attractions but the main centre of interest, historically and archeologically, is undoubtedly the Hadimba Temple . This temple dedicated to goddess Hadimba or Hadimba Devi with a finely wrought four - tiered pagoda roof, dating back to 1553, is built around a natural cave, which enshrines the footprints of the goddess Hadimba. Hadimba was the wife of Bhima, one of the five great Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata, and later became the patron goddess of the Kullu. This four story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar. 

Monastries: Manali also houses three Tibetan monasteries, that have been built recently. There are three recently built Tibetan monasteries at Manali. The Tibetans living around these Monasteries in Manali offer a vide range of Tibetan Handicrafts and Carpets to the visitors to buy. Two of these Monasteries are located in the main down-town of Manali and one Monastery in Aleo. Aleo is located on the Left Bank of River Beas in Manali.

Solang Valley: Solang Valley in Manali is located at a distance of 13 kms in a side valley at the top of the Kullu valley is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Rohtang Pass: Rohtang Pass is 51 kms from Manali. Located at a height of 3980 Mtrs, on highway to Keylong/Leh. The Pass offers a panorama and spectacular mountain view. once served as a crucial trade route, and still remains the gateway to the districts of Lahaul and Spiti.The Pass is open from mid April to November each year, and provides wonderful views of the entire surroundings. Just beyond the Pass is the Sonapani Glacier and the twin peak of Gaypan. The Beas Kund, the source of the Beas river, a holy site for Hindus, as the sage Vyas is said to have meditated at this spot, is also accessible from the Rohtang Pass.

Shimla:

Christ Church & St. Michael's Cathedral: The famous Christ church & St. Michael's Cathedral of Shimla is a beautiful architectural masterpiece. The construction of this church took a span of 11 years (1846 - 1857) and is considered to be the second oldest church in North India. The church looks absolutely magical during night when lights placed at strategic corners illuminate this beautiful church. It is designed in the typical Elizabethan style and consists of a great collection of books and ancient scriptures.

Mall Road Shimla: The Mall Road is the main street in Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, India. All colonial structures are located on the Mall Road.  The Mall Road is also famous for its wooden furniture shops that sell exquisite wooden articles, which look like antiques.

Manali:

Tibetean Monestry: The another famous location is Tibetean monestry. Manali has various colorful monetries. These monasteries serve not only as a place of worship but also as guardians of the rich culture and history of the Tibetan people settled in Kullu and Manali. 

Manu Temple: A famous and significant pilgrimage spot, the Manu Temple is the only temple in India for Lord Manu, the legendary sage who stayed in this area. Manali got its name from lord Manu. Its close connection with the seventh incarnation of the sage is due to mythology that states his saving the Vedas and the seven sages from inundation during the great flood.

Vashisht Temple: Vashist, a small village 3 kms from Manali located on the Left Bank of River Beas in Manali towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit, which is renowned for its Hot Water Springs and Temple. The village is also the site of some old temples, dedicated to the great sage Vashisht, and to Lord Rama. The Himachal Tourism sulphur baths are just beyond these shrines. Natural Hot Sulphur Water Springs with two separate bathing tanks for Gents and Ladies, which are always full of tourists. Turkish Style Showers fitted baths have also been built nearby. Hot water from the nearby Spring is provided for bathing.

Jagatsukh Temple: The one time capital of Kullu. Here are old temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and to Sandhya Gayatri. The Arjun caves are just ahead.

Rahalla Falls:  It is 51 km from Manali. Located at a height of 3980 m, the Pass once served as a crucial trade route, and still remains the gateway to the districts of Lahaul and Spiti.The Pass is open from June to November each year, and provides wonderful views of the entire surroundings. Manali to Rohtang Pass - Rule No - 0 ( Most Imp) Get Up Early if you want to see Rohtang

There is always huge rush of tourists for Rohtang Pass, Hence you need to leave early at 2:30AM to leave for Rohtang Pass to jump the queue. Last Taxi ride allowed for Rohtang is 11:30 AM, hence you must get up early if want to visit Rohtang Pass.

Rohtang Pass is located at altitude of 13,050 feet, In winter & summer , it is mostly covered under 30 to 50 feet snow and temperature is always below zero,it is ecologically very sensitive and himachal government has taken strict steps to preserve the fragile Rohtang pass eco system from ever increasing tourist inflow and exhaust fumes of vehicles.


Manali to Rohtang Pass Rule No -1 ( Respect the Ecological Senstivty of Rohtang pass)

When you travel to Rohtang pass, Always keep in mind that you are travelling to most sensitive eco-systems, hence be cautious as not to leave behind anu garbag or Rubbish. Stay away from Intoxicants like tobacco & liquors as mountain sickness can catch you. Just enjoys the cool vistas of beautiful sight of glaciers, peaks and Chandra river view which flows down in the Lahaul valley. Also enjoy the Geypan. Manali to Rohtang Pass Rule No -2 ( Go always in Himachal Registered taxi)

Tourists travelling in a Taxi or vehicle not bearing Himachal Pradesh registration, should hire a local Manali taxi beyond Kothi located at 13 km from Manali towards Rohtang.


Manali to Rohtang Pass Rule No - 3 ( Keep in Mind the Limit for vehicles for Rohtang pass)

For  Rohtang Pass, only 400 tourists vehicles/taxis (HP Registered) are allowed in the batches per day beyond Gulaba to snow point of Marhi or Rohtang Pass, The remaining vehicles are not be allowed to go beyond Kothi. 
The traffic is allowed from 4 AM in the morning to 11 PM at night, after which traffic will not be allowed. Hence, it is suggested to start at 2:00 AM from Manali to beat the long traffic jams or come back empty handed. .Vehicles will only be allowed to come back from Rohtang Pass to Manali after 11 AM to 6 PM only.


Manali to Rohtang pass Rule No - 4 ( Be Ready for the Long Traffic jams and wait)

In peak seasons, It takes around five to eight hours reach Rohtang, It will become painful specially if you have kids. The problem compounds when both side traffic gets stuck on hair bend curves. Govt has regulated the same by allowing only one way traffic, vehicles from Manali can go to Rohtang between 4 am and 11 AM and come back to Manali only after 11 pm.


Manali to Rohtang Pass Rule No - 5 ( No Night Travel to Rohtang Pass)

Time between 10 pm to 6 am is the zero traffic hours and no vehicles is allowed on the Rohtang highway. Also you are not allowed to stay in the night on Rohtang pass. Also if you reach Manali in the after noon, You will need to postpone your Rohtang visit to next day early morning.


Manali to Rohtang Pass Rule No -6 ( Never Fell into the Trap of Local Taxi Operators, Stick to your Travel Agency)

In Manali, Many taxi operators take tourists to Rohtang early morning and even at midnight, so as to make multiple trips to Rohtang on the same day, These operators are always in a rush and  don't allow tourists to enjoy much time at Rohtang pass, saying that they will get stuck in traffic jam.
