Boating at Veena Lake

Venna lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Venna lake is manmade lake and not a natural lake This lake was constructed in 1842 by Shri Appa Saheb Maharaja, who was the ruler of Satara. Covering an area of 113311.98 sq. m, this lake is an ideal spot for enjoying activities like fishing, boating and horse riding. A lot of families and couples can be spotted around the lake, waiting to enjoy a joyous boat ride on the clear waters and feel the pleasant breeze as they settle in the comfortable row or paddle boats. Several eateries are lined up along the banks of the lake. You can drop in to please your palate with delicious goodies served here. Lingmala Waterfalls: the Lingmala Waterfall can be reached via the Mahabaleshwar-Pune road. The forest bungalow of Lingmala is situated near the falls. The water here launches from a height of approximately 600 feet.

Tapola, Mahabaleshwar: Famously called the mini Kashmir of the west is a rustic hamlet with a magnificent lake - Shivsagar. A 90 km long water body Shivsagar lake is in fact the backwaters of the Koyna dam near Kolhapur. Surrounded by Koyna dam's back waters and dense forest of Sahyadris and lush green beauty, the place bewitched the visitors by its captivating beauty. The dam is known as Shivsagar.

Dhobi Waterfalls: The captivating Dhobi Waterfall is located around 3 km away from the main Mahabaleshwar town, on the route connecting the Old Mahabaleshwar Road to Petit Road.  Water from the fall drops into a deep valley and finally merges with Koyna River. Owing to the location amidst beautiful valley, this waterfall is a popular picnic.

Table Top point: Table Land, at 4,550 ft above sea level, is the highest point in Panchgani. This volcanic platue is Asia’s second longest mountain plateau after tibetan platue  it is a vast expanse of flat laterite rock surrounded by hills.
