Lumbini Bodhgaya Sarnath Kushinagar Tour Package from China Japan Sri Lanka Thailand - Brief Overview of  Buddha's Trail- A Pilgrimage Journey  Tour Package

2500 years ago, King Suddhodhana and queen Maya Devi in Nepal gave birth to a child called Siddhartha Gautam as a crown prince of Royal Kingdom of Kapilvastu, Lumbini. In quest of enlightenment Prince Siddhartha traveled an unknown path from Nepal to India. The little child Sidhhartha was latter known as  Buddha-The Awakened One, founder of the World's youngest religion.

We at Holiday Travel.Co have arranged a  insightful journey through the important places associated with the life of the Buddha, which are namely  Bodh Gaya the place where Prince Siddhartha became Buddha & got his enlightenment, Saranath where he gave his first sermon, Kushinagar where he attained Mahaparinirvana & Varanasi the oldest surviving city of the world.

Lumbini in Southern Nepal is the birth place of  Prince Siddhartha.Lumbini is located on Indo Nepal border & it is just a short distance from the Shakya capital of Kapilavastu.

Bodh Gaya is situated in the state of Bihar in India & here under the Bodhi tree- Tree of Awakening, Siddhasrtha  Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha- "Enlightened One".The tree that stands today is believed to have grown from the original Peepal tree under which Lord Buddha meditated. River Niranjana in which the Buddha bathed after attaining enlightenment flows quietly outside the tiny hamlet where the story of Prince Siddhartha ended and the saga of the Buddha began.

Sarnath located in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to  his five companions after his enlightenment. This event is referred to as Turning of the Wheel of Dhamma and marks the foundation of the Sangha. Emperor Ashoka had monastaries and stupas built here which were destroyed by Muslim invaders in later years. Sarnath is one of the four main sites of the Budddhist religion, the others being Bodhgaya, Kushinagar and Lumbini in Nepal.

Lord Buddha attained Parinirvana at Kushinagar also in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Mahaparinirvana Temple, Ramabhar Stupa, Matha Kuar Shrine and Wat Thai Temple are some of the important places of pilgrimage for the Buddhists.

Varanasi or Kashi- the city of light &  the abode of Lord Shiva where the first rays of light fell after creation. It is the place where humans get rid of an endless cycle of birth and death, life and salvation. One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world with history of over 2,500 years, Varanasi is the holiest Indian city and one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in the country.
