Day 01 # Arrive Ahmedabad 


Today in the morning, Pick up from Ahmedabad Visit Ahmedabad Local Sightseeing, Manek Chowk , Science City, City Museum ,Sabarmati Ashram , Swaminarayan temple, Akshardham temple etc.

Day 02 # Ahmedabad – Jamnagar -Dwarka(465km/7-7.5hrs approx.)


Today in the morning, after breakfast start the journey to Dwarka, Reac Dwarka by late afternoon and Check into the hotel.

In the evening, proceed to the sacred town of Dwarka. Visit Dwarkadeesh Temple. Take a holy dip in Gomti river, later leave to visit Nageshwar Jyotirling, Gopi Talav, Bet Dwarka, and on way back do visit Rukmani Temple, visit other temples on coastal area, attend evening aarti at Dwarkadish temple.

SHREE DWARKADHISH TEMPLE DARSHAN 2016 2017

The main temple at Dwarka dham is SHREE DWARKADHISH TEMPLE, it is situated on Gomti creek, is also known as jagat mandir (universal shrine) or trilok sundar (the most beautiful in all the three worlds). Originally believed to be built by Vajranabh, the great grandson of Lord Krishna, more than 2500 years ago, The temple is  rising from the waters of the Arabian Sea. Dwarakadhis Temple's  carved shikhar is  reaching 43 m high and it has a huge flag ( Dhwaj Pataka) which can be seen as far away as 10 km. The temple has 56 steps leading to the river Gomti. The temple is built of soft limestone and consists of a sanctum sanctorum, vestibule and a rectangular hall with porches on three sides. There are two gateways: swarga dwar (gate to the heavens), where pilgrims enter, and moksha dwar (gate to liberation), where pilgrims exit.

The lower part of the Dwarkadhish temple is from the 16th century and the soaring steeple with its numerous clusters of small towers is from the 19th century. The main part of the temple has five storeys, reaching to a height of over 100 feet.

In the morning depart to Porbandar (75km/1.5hrs) at Porbandar visit Kirti Mandir – the place where Gandhiji was born.

On October 2, 1869, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in a 3-storey blue haveli in the city of Porbandar, where his father, uncle and grandfather had all been prime ministers to the Jethwa Rajput rulers of the princely state. The site of Gandhi’s birth, now called Kirti Mandir, has been converted into a small museum about him, with an exhibit of old photographs, some of his very few possessions and a nice library of books either by him or relating to Gandhian philosophy and practice.

The multihued, textured feathered creatures with their harmonious twitters and chirrups identify, popular destination for ornithologists. Porbandar Beach - TOUR
 
The Porbandar Beach popular by name 'Chowpati' is a famous tourist attraction in the town. Reconstructed in 2003, it has good seating arrangement for visitors to sit and relax. There is also a skating rink for children. Th Janmashthami fair also takes place in the premises of Chowpati every year.

SOMNATH JI JYOTIRLING DARSHAN - MORNING

Shree Somnath is first among the twelve Aadi Jyotirlings of India. Somnath Jyotirling Pran-Pratistha & temple was built 7,99,25,105 years ago according to Prabhas Khand of Skand Puran. Thus, this temple is a perennial source of inspiration for millions of Hindus since time immemorial.

Lord Shiva sys, `I am always present everywhere but specially in 12 forms and places as the Jyotirlingas`. Somnath is one of these 12 holy places. This is the first among the twelve holy Shiva Jyotirlings.

Temple was destroyed by Muslims invaders during eleventh to eighteen century A.D. The temple was rebuilt every time. The modern temple was reconstructed with the resolve of Sardar Patel who visited the ruins of Somnath temple on November 13 1947. Then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, did the Pran-Pratistha at the existing temple on 11 May 1951.

Other spots in the temple are Shri Kapardi Vinayak and Shri Hanuman Temple in addition to Vallabhghat. Vallabhghat is a beautiful sunset point. The temple is illuminated every evening. Similarly, the Sound & Light Show “Jay Somnath” is also displayed every night during 8.00 to 9.00, which allows the pilgrims an ethereal experience in the backdrop of grand Somnath temple and the holy wave sounds of the Ocean.Ahalyabai temple is also close by, which was built by the queen mother Shri Ahalyabai Holker during 1782. The Jara poacher is said to have taken aim from this spot while hitting an arrow towards Bhagwan Shree Krishna. The ancient Somnath Poojacharya Shri Bhav Brihaspati is said to have built this temple. Bhagwan Shashibhushan with Bhidbhanjan (Saviour form of) Ganesh is worshipped here with traditional spiritual traditions.

SHREE VENESHWAR MAHADEV TEMPLE TOUR

The Rajputa “Vaja”clan was in charge of Somnath during the Muslim desecrations. The devotional episode of the princess “Veni” is depicted in the novel by Shri K.M.Munshi. The temple was outside of the fort wall of Prabhaspatan at the time of holy war with Gazani.The soldiers of Gazani attempted an abduction of “Veni” who regularly visited the temple to offer her services to Shiva. The traditions maintain that the Shivling was sportaneously got divided and the princess got burried into it. The Shiv temple here is knows as “Veneshwar” temple after the fond memory of divine episode of Veni.

The Rajputa “Vaja”clan was in charge of Somnath during the Muslim desecrations. The devotional episode of the princess “Veni” is depicted in the novel by Shri K.M.Munshi. The temple was outside of the fort wall of Prabhaspatan at the time of holy war with Gazani.The soldiers of Gazani attempted an abduction of “Veni” who regularly visited the temple to offer her services to Shiva. The traditions maintain that the Shivling was sportaneously got divided and the princess got burried into it. The Shiv temple here is knows as “Veneshwar” temple after the fond memory of divine episode of Veni.
