Jakhoo Temple: One of The famous place of Worship at Shimla is Jakhoo Temple. Jakhoo hill is located the famous Jakhoo Temple of Shimla. It is hardly 2 kilometers from the Ridge and is an uphill climb through the beautiful deodar trees. The Jakhoo Temple of Shimla is dedicated to the monkey God, Hanuman. The temple is located at the Height of 2455 meter and situated at highiest peak in Shimla.

Kalibari Temple: The another famous place of worship is Kalibari Temple of Shimla. This is a popular tourist attraction and is situated at a very strategic location. The temple was built in the year 1845 and is dedicated to Goddess Kali who is also known as Shyamala. Shimla derived its name Fom Goddess Shyamala.

Hadimba Devi Temple: Manali has many attractions but the main centre of interest, historically and archeologically, is undoubtedly the Hadimba Temple . This temple dedicated to goddess Hadimba or Hadimba Devi with a finely wrought four - tiered pagoda roof, dating back to 1553, is built around a natural cave, which enshrines the footprints of the goddess Hadimba. Hadimba was the wife of Bhima, one of the five great Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata, and later became the patron goddess of the Kullu. This four story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar.

Monastries: Manali also houses three Tibetan monasteries, that have been built recently. There are three recently built Tibetan monasteries at Manali. The Tibetans living around these Monasteries in Manali offer a vide range of Tibetan Handicrafts and Carpets to the visitors to buy. Two of these Monasteries are located in the main down-town of Manali and one Monastery in Aleo. Aleo is located on the Left Bank of River Beas in Manali.

Solang Valley: Solang Valley in Manali is located at a distance of 13 kms in a side valley at the top of the Kullu valley is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Solang Valley has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute of Manali has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. Now a few hotels have also come up. The winter skiing festival is organised in Solang Valley. Sking and Paragliding are two main activities are organised here. Apart from this many other adventure sports are available like Zorbing, Horse riding & Snow Motor Bikes riding etc.

Rohtang Pass: Rohtang Pass is 51 kms from Manali. Located at a height of 3980 Mtrs, on highway to Keylong/Leh. The Pass offers a panorama and spectacular mountain view. once served as a crucial trade route, and still remains the gateway to the districts of Lahaul and Spiti.The Pass is open from mid April to November each year, and provides wonderful views of the entire surroundings. Just beyond the Pass is the Sonapani Glacier and the twin peak of Gaypan. The Beas Kund, the source of the Beas river, a holy site for Hindus, as the sage Vyas is said to have meditated at this spot, is also accessible from the Rohtang Pass.

Golden Temple: The one of the most beautiful and Religious place in Amritsar. Sri Harmandir Sahib, also Sri Darbar Sahib and informally referred to as the "Golden Temple", is the holiest Gurdwara of Sikhism. The temple's architecture draws on both Hindu and Muslim artistic styles yet represents a unique coevolution of the two. During the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), Hari Mandir was richly ornamented with marble sculptures, golden gilding, and large quantities of precious stones. Within the sanctuary, on a jewel-studded platform, lies the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scripture of the Sikhs. This scripture is a collection of devotional poems, prayers, and hymns composed by the ten Sikh gurus and various Muslim and Hindu saints.

Wagha Border: Wagah is the border that lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar in Punjab, India and Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan. It is the only road border which crosses between India and Pakistan. The border is at a distance of 20 kms from Amritsar and 22 kms from Lahore. The Wagah border is a post between India and Pakistan. It has become famous for the beating the retreat ceremony which includes the closing of international gates and the lowering of the flags of both the countries. The flag code of India mandates that the national flag shall be flown only from sunrise to sunset. It is an entertainment ceremony and a highly stylized patriotic display as well as an energetic performance.

The famous Christ church & St. Michael's Cathedral of Shimla is a beautiful architectural masterpiece. The construction of this church took a span of 11 years (1846 - 1857) and is considered to be the second oldest church in North India. The church looks absolutely magical during night when lights placed at strategic corners illuminate this beautiful church. It is designed in the typical Elizabethan style and consists of a great collection of books and ancient scriptures.

The Mall Road is the main street in Shimla,the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, India . All colonial structures are located on the Mall Road. The Mall Road is also famous for its wooden furniture shops that sell exquisite wooden articles, which look like antiques.

Vashist springs and temple in a tiny hamlet situated on the bank of Beas river that turns towards Rohtang. It is well known for its hot sulphur springs and temples. Taking a dip in this water is considered sacred by many. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple devoted to Vashist Muni, a revered sage.

 Manu Temple is believed to be the only temple of Manu in India, who is considered as the creator of the human race on earth. Located at a distance of 3 km from the main bazaar in Old Manali, the temple is believed to be the abode of Manu, the ancient law-giver of India. Its close connection with the seventh incarnation of the sage is due to mythology that states his saving the Vedas and the seven sages from inundation during the great flood.

Jallianwala Bagh is the site of one of the most monstrous massacres in human history and a dark event during the Indian independence struggle. Also known as Amritsar massacre, as many as 1100 peaceful protesters were killed when British troops opened fire on April 13, 1919 at this place. The brutal murder of thousands added fuel to the fight against the British and raised severe questions about the British intentions to rule India in a humane way. Today, the park has been converted into a memorial who sacrificed their lives.

 The Durgiana Mandir or Durgiana Temple is a Hindu temple that is dedicated to Goddess Durga, one of the many Hindu Goddesses. It is also called the Laxmi Narayan Temple. Locals often refer to it as the ‘Seetla Mandir’ because there are temples dedicated to Sita Mata (another name for Goddess Durga). Constructed by Harsahai Mal Kapoor, the temple is based on the overall layout of the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Some people also call it the silver temple due to the carved silver doors that adorn each sanctum sanctorum in the temple complex. The main temple is comprised of the Durga temple that is set amidst a tank of water. Around the tank there is a walking path called the ‘parikrama’. This temple is also famous for smaller temples of Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, Hanuman and Goddess Sita.
