Leh Ladakh Package - Itinarary
Day1: Arrival at Leh.
Arrive at Leh.Our representative will meet and will transfer you to the hotel.Day is free for acclimatization.Walk around city with dinner & night stay at hotel.
Day2: Leh City Tour (Shanti Stupa- Leh City Palace-Tsemo Castle)
Post breakfast visit the Shanti Stupa.It is a Buddhist white-domed stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa, built by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura .
Leh Palace was sculpted in the mold of Potala Palace of Lhasa and is located on the Namgyal Hill in Leh. It overlooks Leh and has many cultural influences, dating back to centuries.Leh Palace was the tallest building in the world when it was built in 1553.
Leh Fort
Leh Fort (Tsemo Fort) is located, further up from the Leh Palace, on top of the Namgyal Tsemo Hill.This fort has also served as the royal residence of the Namgyal dynasty. It is flanked by two gompas built in veneration of the guardian deities.
Day3: Shey-Thicksey-Hemis
Post breakfast proceed for full day excusrion to Shey Palace, the 15th Century Summer Palace & Monastery of Leh's Royal Family and witness the 800 years old Gompa at Thicksey built on a hill top and modeled on the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa .
Visit the Hemis Monastery hidden in a gorge. It is the largest & richest Gompa in Ladaakh.
Day 4: Khardungla Pass
After Breakfast proceed for Khardungla Pass situated at an altitude of 5359 meters, it is the highest motorable road in the World. The drive from Leh towards this pass is a fun-filled experience yet scenic experience. The word Khardungla signifies the “pass of lower castle”.In the evening return back to hotel for dinner & night stay.
Day 5:Pangong Lake - Leh (Pangong Tso)
After breakfast proceed for Pangong lake.It is one of the most popular places to visit in Leh and is located just 160 kilometers away crossing Chang La Pass (5300 Mts) from Ladakh. The drive to Pangong lake is an exciting experience offering scenic views. It is a beautiful lake with crystal blue waters blessed with pleasant weather throughout the year. Black necked Siberian can be spotted near the Mahe marshes, the only breeding place for these rare migratory birds.
Day 6: Depart Leh, return home with happy memoirs.
Bid farewell to Leh as you will be transfreed to Leh Airport.
