Birla Mandir -
The Lakshmi Narayana Temple on the Arera Hills commands a panoramic view of Bhopal, and is also known as the Birla Temple because the Birlas, one of leading industrial families of India, have built it. Attached to the temple is the Birla Museum that houses a collection of sculptures from the Mandsaur, Shahdol, Sehore and Raisen districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Taj-Ul Masjid -
The most impressive structure in Bhopal is the Taj-ul-Masjid, one of the largest ad most elegant Muslim mosques in India. The building really presents a spectacular sight and is worth taking a bow to. It’s pink façade is topped by two huge white-domed minarets pointing upwards to the heavens, as if seeking its blessings.
Sadar Manzil -
The Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manzil are two architectural curiosities of Bhopal. Situated right at the entrance of the Chowk area, the Mahal is a blend of both oriental and occidental styles of architecture. The Mahal is supposed to have been designed by a decadent Frenchman who claimed to be a descendant of the Bourbon Dynasty of France. The building is very different from the rest of the Islamic architecture in the vicinity
Upper And Lower Lakes -
Bhopal is rightly famous for its lakes as it has two most stunning lakes ? Upper Lake and Lower Lake.
Raja Bhoj created the Upper Lake in Bhopal in the 11th century while the construction of an earthen dam across the Kolans River. The Upper & Lower Bhopal lakes (also known as Bhoj Wetlands) are urban water bodies. The upper lake is a major source of potable water for the people of the city of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. The lower lake was constructed much later on the down stream of the dam of Upper lake. The Lower Lake, which is also called as the Chota Talaab, is separated from the Upper Lake by an over-bridge. This lovely lake along with the magnificient Upper Lake has given Bhopal its title as the "City of Lakes".

Situated on the banks of the upper lake, Gauhar Mahal is truly an architectural gem. Kudsia Begum built this sprawling Palace in 1820. Though the Palace has not been maintained properly, its arcades maintain the majestic look and the past glory. A splendid mansion of great historical importance, Gohar Mahal is in the path of renovation which will restore the original grandeur.

Situated on a scenic hill, earlier known as Manua Bhan ki Tekri, 7km away from Bhopal on Gwalior Road is the Jain temple dedicated to Lord Mahavir, an important pilgrimage centre for Jains.
