Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, in the Rajsamand district near Udaipur of Rajasthan state in western India. It is a World Heritage Site included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Kumbhalgarh was only taken once in its entire history. Even then, it took the combined armies of Amber, Marwar and Mughal emperor Akbar to breach its strong defences. Kumbhalgarh is famous the massive fort & the wildlife sanctuary.

Kumbhalgarh Fort: The Kumbhalgarh Fort is located on the banks of Banas River and is the second most important fort of Rajasthan. This unsurpassable fortress is second only to Chittorgarh in importance and lands a famed position for bearing the second-longest wall in the world. Located at a distance of 64km from Udaipur, the Kumbhalgarh Fort stands gracefully under the protective backdrop of the Aravali ranges.

It is situated across the Aravalli range and derived its name from the Fort. Parts of Udaipur, Rajsamand and Pali districts are covered by this sanctuary. The sanctuary houses a good assortment of fauna and avian species. A number of endangered animals can be admired within its premises as well. Wolfs, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, Sambhar, Nilgai, Chausingha, Chinkara and hare along with avian species like Red Spur owls, Parakeets, peacocks, doves, Golden Oriole, bulbul, Grey Pigeons and White-breasted Kingfisher

Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple: The Temple is situated close to the plains and is devoted to Lord Shiva. The temple houses a stone Shivlinga that is believed to be six feet in height. The Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple is situated close to the fort, near the base of the plains. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses a six feet high stone Shivlinga. It is considered to be the only deity of the area that is still worshipped and maintained by the locals.

Badal Mahal: A popular tourist attraction, Badal Mahal is situated at the topmost point of Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is located in Rajasmand area of Rajasthan. Built by Rana Fateh Singh in the 19th century, the mahal or palace comprises two storeys and two different sections namely Both the portions have rooms that are painted with pastel-coloured murals of the 19th century. The rooms are predominantly in colour schemes of turquoise, green and white and are a contrast to the grim and earthy fortress.
