Bheemeshwari is a wonderful destination located at a distance of about 100 km from Bangalore located in the district of Mandya. Bheemeshwari is popular for its eco-tourism initiatives and is a natural habitat for the mahseer fish found in the Cauvery because Mahseer is believed to be one of the best game fishes. Moreover, there are lush forests surrounding this place, home to a number of wild animals such as elephants, monkeys, wild boars, jackals, otters, crocodiles and leopards. Galibore Fishing and Nature camp is run by Jungle Lodges & Resorts, a unit of Karnataka Tourism dept. Galibore is 95 Km from Bangalore city. This is a perfect place for nature lovers and angler and they have identified over 200 species of birds consisting of tawny eage, pied crested cuckoo, darter etc. Some of the mammals are also spotted here.  The Camp is in the middle of wilderness, overlooking the River Cauvery and surrounded by hills. The Camp itself is covered with trees lining both sides of the river. This is a rough country indeed and ideal for those who want total privacy and no disturbance.
