Shimla Tourism Holidays: Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi-Kotgarh(Arround 430 km/9-10 hours)

Start the tour from Delhi Airport/Railway Station and the proceed to Kotgarh. It is around 430 km and takes 9-10 hours to complete journey. The journey is too long so we will break journey at Chandigarh. Have a lunch and some rest there and proceed to Kotgarh. After arrival check into Hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 01: Food

Lunch: In Between Your journey you may have lunch at Haveli Resturant(Sco 22, Phase 10, Mohali) Included North Indian Food.

Dinner: Served at Hotel

Day 02: Kotgarh local Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to visit Kotgarh. Kotgarh is famous not only for its Scenic beauty but also for its apple farming. Kotgarh is also known as Apple Bowl of india. You can visit some local sightseeing of kotgarh like St.Mary Church and Mailan Devta Temple. Rest of the day is for your Leisure after that came back to hotel and overnight at hotel.

St.Mary Church: This is one of the oldest Church in India.It is between middle of thwe Town.This Church was constructed in 1872. St Mary Church is very beautiful wooden church. The Church is filled with Mature Shurbs and apple trees in its backyard.

Mailan Devta Temple ( Chatur Mukh): The another famous place to visit in Kotgarh is Mailan devta Temple. The Deota is believed to be one of the most powerfull god in these hills. The Deota had only one eye ,so he was also called kana.  He delighted in human sacrifice, and every month on the Shankrant day a man or woman was sacrificed to him as a bali. Every family supplied victims by turn.

Day 03: Kotgarh-Lake-Hattu Temple

After breakfast proceed for visit some other local sightseeing of kotgarh like Tani Jubbar Lake nad Hattu Temple and peak. In Between visit have lunch at Banjara Retreat, after that came back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Tani Jubbar Lake: Tani Jubbar lake is famous for its “Nag Devta Temple”Where the local offer prayers to the Seperent God. Day 04: Kotgarh-Shimla( Arround 80km/3Hours)

After Breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to visit Shimla. It is around 80 km and take 3 hours to arrive Shimla. After aarival visit some sightseeing of Shimla like Mall Road, Ridge, Kalibari temple, Jakhoo Temple. After that check into hotel and overnight stay in the hotel.

Jakhoo Temple: One of The famous place of Worship at Shimla is Jakhoo Temple. Jakhoo hill is located the famous Jakhoo Temple of Shimla. It is hardly 2 kilometers from the Ridge and is an uphill climb through the beautiful deodar trees. The Jakhoo Temple of Shimla is dedicated to the monkey God, Hanuman. The temple is located at the Height of 2455 meter and situated at highiest peak in Shimla.

Kalibari Temple: The another famous place of worships Kalibari Temple of Shimla. Day 05: Shimla- Kufri ( Arround 21km/ 1 hour )

After breakfast you will proceed to visit Kufri. The name Kufri is derived from the word kufr meaning "lake" in the local language. Kufri has a Himalayan wild life zoo which hosts rare antelopes, felines and birds including the Himalayan monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. In between visit have lunch at eco village Dhabha . After that check into hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: Food

Day 06: Shimla- Mashobra-Naldehra( Arround 20 km/1 Hour)

After breakfast proceed for visit Mashobra and Naldera. It is around 20 km and take 1 hour. Visit some sightseeing of Mashobra and as well as of Naldera. In Between your visit have lunch at Woodstock Resort At Naldera. After that check into hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

christ Church & St. Michael's Cathedral: The famous Christ church & St. Michael's Cathedral of Shimla is a beautiful architectural masterpiece. The construction of this church took a span of 11 years (1846 - 1857) and is considered to be the second oldest church in North India. The church looks absolutely magical during night when lights placed at strategic corners illuminate this beautiful church. It is designed in the typical Elizabethan style and consists of a great collection of books and ancient scriptures.

Mall Raod Shimla: The Mall Road is the main street in Shimla,the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, India . All colonial structures are located on the Mall Road. The Mall Road is also famous for its wooden furniture shops that sell exquisite wooden articles, which look like antiques.

Scandal Point: The scandal point is a tourist place in Shimla. This place derives his name from the flirtatiuos king of Patiala. This place is the end of the mall road.

Mahasu Peak: This is the highest point in Kufri, so great views are a given-on a clear day you can even see the Badrinath and Kedarnath ranges-but the best way to do it is by undertaking the challenging hike through a thick forest.
