Day 1: Arrive at Chandigarh and Transfer to Shimla
Arrive at Chandigarh Airport and transfer to Shimla. Shimla is 113 km. far from Chandigarh and takes around 4.5 hours to reach.
En route, visit the popular tourist attraction of Chandigarh, Pinjore Garden. It is 22 km. from Chandigarh on the Ambala - Shimla highway. Get amazed watching the lush greenery, colourful flowers, palm trees and water fountains at this marvellous Mughal Garden. The garden houses a historic place, Japanese garden, mini zoo and a nursery.

Day 2: Explore Shimla
Begin the day 2 of your Shimla vacations with hot breakfast at the hotel. Today you will explore some of the top attractions in Shimla.
Begin your day by visiting Asia’s largest open-air Ice Skating Rink. Learn the ticks of ice skating and relish the experience. Ensure you reach here early morning between 8 am to 11 am or else you can plan to visit here between 5 pm to 7 pm.
Later visit Chadwick Waterfalls to enjoy the spectacular view of the waterfalls falling from the height of 67 meters.

Day 5: Full Day Sightseeing in Narkanda

Narkanda offers panoramic views of the valley from the height of 7400 feet. This small yet picturesque town turns into a ski resort during winter magnetising tourist from all over. You can try your hands on skiing at one of the famous skiing slopes in Narkanda.
Next, trek 7 km. (one way) to reach Hatu Peak. It is one of the most scenic places in Narkanda and offers lovely vistas of snow-clad peaks. Other attractions include Hat temple and a small pond located on the hilltop.

Day 6: Narkanda to Kothgarh

Located 15 km. away from Narkanda is Kothgarh which is the ‘apple bowl of India’ and has ample to offer its visitors. After 40 minutes of the drive, reach the hotel in Kothgarh and do the check-in procedures.
Kothgarh is a quaint scenic destination in North India, located about 6,500 feet above sea level. It offers serene walks through apple orchards and pine forests. Visit one of the top attractions of Kothgarh, Apple Orchard. Get amazed looking at the Kothgarh Valley which looks stunning when the orchards are filled with luscious red apples.
Some of the must-visit places in Kothgarh include St. Mary’s Church and Gorton Mission School. Constructed in 1872, St. Mary’s Church is one of the oldest and beautiful churches in India. It reminds of a bygone era with its wooden construction, dazzling stained glass window and an array of cedar sculpted pews. Within the compound is the Gorton Mission School built in 1843.
Later head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Kothgarh is home to numerous temples. You can check out few of them. First visit Mailan Devta Temple, also known as Chatur Mukh Temple. The temple is beautifully constructed with Shikhar style architecture.
Later visit Parmjyotir Temple and Hattu Temple. Hattu Temple is located 15 km. away from Kothgarh on the Hattu Peak. You can choose to trek on the hills to reach the temple. It takes around 2 hours to reach the top and on the way you can witness a variety of flora and fauna.
After an exciting day, retire for the night by heading back to the hotel.
Day 8: Kothgarh to Jibhi
Enjoy scrumptious breakfast, check out from the hotel and gear up to travel to Jibhi. It is located at a distance of 89 km. and takes 4.5 hours to reach there. On reaching, check-in at the hotel, freshen up and head to explore the popular attractions of Jibhi.
Jibhi is an unexplored heaven in the Himalayas. It is walker’s delight with plenty of scenic trails that pass by lush pine and cedar forests of the Banjar Valley. Drive to Jalori Pass and from there enjoy the trek to Serolsar Lake and Raghupur Fort, which are both in opposite direction from Jalori Pass.
The trekking trail to Serolsar Lake is a gentle 5 km. hike and you will see some breath-taking views during the trek. The lake is blessed with picturesque settings and hillocks around offer an incredible view of the valley and of the snow-covered Himalayas.
If you are not exhausted, head for a 4 km. trek to Raghupur Fort. The trekking trail offers stunning views and descends through thick forest and a gradual walk through open meadows.
After an exhausting day, head back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 9: Day Excursion to Shoja
Post breakfast, head for a day excursion to Shoja. It is 30 minutes’ drive from Jibhi. On reaching, check out the top tourist attractions in Shoja.
Begin your day with a visit to the Waterfall Point. It is one of the best sightseeing places in Shoja and an ideal place for morning walks. A refreshing walk through nature with gurgling sound of water can definitely do wonders for your senses.
Later head to Tirthan Valley situated very close to Shoja. It has amazing landscapes. You can enjoy angling here. If you are looking for some adrenaline rush in the quiet valley, opt for river crossing activity and delight your senses.

Day 10: Jibhi to Chandigarh and Departure

How to Reach Shimla
By Flight: The nearest airport to Shimla is situated at Jubbarhatti, 22 kms from Shimla has regular flights from Delhi but due to bad weather conditions, flights may be irregular. Alternatively better option is to reach Chandigarh Airport at a distance of 120 Kms away from Chandigarh, you can board Holiday Travel Taxi to reach Shimla in approx 2.5-3 hours.
By Toy Train from Kalka: From Kalka, the Narrow-Gauge Kalka-Shimla Unesco - Heritage Toy Train connects to Shimla. The total distance covered is 96 kms from Kalka to Shimla with 107 Tunnels & 864 Bridges. The Shimla toy train starts Journey at 656 meters (2,152 ft) above sea level in Kalka and reaches Shimla at an altitude of 2,076 meters.
The route offers a panoramic feast of the picturesque Himalayas from the Shivalik foot hills at Kalka to several important points such as Dharampur, Solan, Kandaghat, Taradevi, Barog, Salogra, summer hill and Shimla. The Railway has 919 curves, the sharpest being 48 degrees. The journey takes about five-and-a-half hours to reach Shimla.
By Train: Indian Railways connects up-to Kalka (about 100kms from Shimla) by broad-gauge line. The Kalka station is connected to most major cities in India, including Delhi and Calcutta.

Jalori pass has steepest drive which covers more than 2000 meters in 25 kms, it connects Shimla and Kullu valleys and offers fantastic views of the Dhauladhar and Kinnaur ranges. Spend half an hour at Jalori pass.
The Most famous attraction of this place is Chaini fort trek and Sharingi Bagi temple. Chaini village is located in this town and which is inspired from Chinese art. There is well outlined and beautiful trail to reach temple. Chaini fort is another famous attraction, the rocks used in this fort are not easily found in this region.
Places to visit in Narkanda
Hatu Peak: 8 km from Narkanda, the road is surrounded by pine and spruce trees. On top of the hill, ancient Hatu Mata temple is located. The peak offers spectacular view of the entire Himalayan ranges, snow clad mountains and in depths is the dense forests, green fields and apple orchards. Hiking is recommended to reach the peak
Kacheri: This place is located 0.5 km from Oddi, and 7 km from Narkanda on NH - 22 and famous for ancient Mahamaya Temple.
Kotgarh and Thandedhar: 17 km link road bifurcating from Narkanda takes you to the Himachal's Horticultural heartland, Kotgarh and Thanedhar, renown for apple orchards. The famous Stokes Farm is located at Thanedhar. Stokes came to India on a trip and while on a summer visit to Shimla, fell in love with its environments, which included the charming hill folk and settled down in Kotgarh. He started the apple farm which soon became renown with its Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Royal Delicious, apples.
Jalori Pass: 90 km from Narkanda, passing through the Sutlej Valley and crossing over to Luhri, Ani, Khanag through one of the best scenery in the Kullu Valley takes you to Jallori Pass. A 30 minute level walk from the Pass takes you to Sarolsar Lake among deep forests. See nature at it's best
Bhimkali Temple: This historical temple is a multistoried structured building, a fusion of Hindu and Buddhist architecture. The tall tower like structure and unusual roof of the temple dominate the complex. The centuries old temple is now locked and in the newly built temple, the goddess Bhimakali is portrayed as a maiden and as a woman. This temple complex includes other temples such as Narsingh shrine of Bhairon and Lord Raghunath.
Bird Park: Near the temple complex is a pheasant breeding centre. It also houses the State bird Monal which is of a great attraction.

St. Mary Church: This is one of the oldest Churches in India. It is between middle of the Town. This Church was constructed in 1872. St Mary Church is very beautiful wooden church. The Church is filled with Mature Shurbs and apple trees in its backyard.
Mailan Devta Temple ( Chatur Mukh): The another famous place to visit in Kotgarh is Mailan devta Temple. The Deota is believed to be one of the most powerfull god in these hills. The Deota had only one eye, so he was also called kana. He delighted in human sacrifice, and every month on the Shankrant day a man or woman was sacrificed to him as a bali. Every family supplied victims by turn.
Tani Jubbar Lake: Tani Jubbar Lake is famous for its “Nag Devta Temple” Where the local offer prayers to the Seperent God. The Colorful fair of Tani Jubbar is very famous and it is celebrated every year. The Local people wear colorful clothes on this festival. It is one of the Local Picnic spot in Kotgarh.
