Upon your arrival at Chennai airport/railway station  our representatives will pick you up and drive you to Pondicherry. Where upon arrival in Pondicherry you’ll be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Rest of the day will be free for leisure and shopping from the street markets. overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 2: Pondicherry Sightseeing
today we will leave the hotel in the morning after breakfast and visit Pondicherry for sightseeing. There are many historical and natural locations here, few of them a listed below.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram:This place was founded by Sri Aurobindo and famous revolutionary, philosopher and poet. The Ashram is a centre for the practice of integral yoga and meditation

Place du Panthéon / Aayi mandapam and Bharti park:This monument is the emblem of the Government of Pondicherry once it was called as La Place du Panthéon is now known as Aayi mandapam. This monument is surrounded by five parks and the area is a reminder of the beauty of French architecture.

The Pondicherry Botanical Garden: This Botanical garden was made in 1826 by the renowned botanist Perottet who brought around 1500 rare species of plants from all over India.

Lighthouse: This light house started operating 1836 and continued to be used till the year 1979. It is a beautiful place that gives the view of the sea from the top.

Day 3: Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram (100 km/1h30min)

Today we will check out from the hotel and leave for Mahabalipuram, upon arrival we will check in to the hotel and then proceed for Shore temple and other temples like Pnacha Raths, Mahishasuramardhim Cave, Thirukadalmallai, And Arjuna's Penance in the nearby area. From here we will return to the hotel in the evening for overnight and dinner.

Shore Temple: This is the oldest structure in the area that was built in 700 AD. This temple once consisted of beautiful carvings that slowly got eroded due to cyclones.

Five Rathas: This site contains five chariots like structures that date around 7th century.

Thirukadalmallai: This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Pallava Kings made it so that it can safeguard the sculptures from the ocean.

Arjuna's Penance: It’s a giant rock like structure filled with detailed carvings.

Day 4: Mahabalipuram  - Chennai (52km/1h)
