How to reach Nepal

There are multiple routes to enter Nepal, though the mediums are quite restricted.

By Air: The Tribhuvan International Airport is located in Kathmandu, just beyond the outer ring road. Not all the nations in the world have direct flights from and to Nepal. A very few places like Hong Kong, Delhi, Bangkok, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Dubai, Bangalore and Mumbai are easily accessible from Nepal.

But the service and the routes are improving with every passing day, so it is advised to check the updated routes before planning. It is also suggested that one should reach the respective airport at least 3 hours before check-in as the service desks for Nepal are very few in number and the service is not very quick.

By Train: Neither is the train service reasonably great in Nepal, nor are they advised. There is only one cargo train between Nepal and India but the slow speed and umpteen stoppages kill all the thrill.

By Road: By road, there are 5 entry points from India and one entry point from Tibet. From Tibet, Kodari is the gateway to Nepal, and is open for all the tourists.

Best time to visit Nepal

The 3 Best Nepal Honeymoon Hotels

Dwarika's Hotel: Dwarika's provided a very relaxing 4 night stay after touring north India for 18 days prior. The hotel has traditional Nepalese architecture, designed with an enclosed courtyard that provides a quiet place to swim & sunbathe, have lunch or enjoy afternoon tea. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and tastefully decorated. I would suggest they switch their bedding...

Hotel Orchid: Hotel orchid is one of the best hotel in Nepal for couples. The Hotel has small garden in front and enough parking, A nice breakfast with smiling face early morning makes the days successful. Mr. Janank a very humble and helpful person of this hotel

Hotel Tibet International: This place is a bit tired, but still retains some of its past splendor. The staff is friendly and helpful in all areas- hotel, bar, and restaurant. The room was serviceable, but had an odd layout and weak water pressure. This could have been partially due to the national electrical issues. The limited menu mostly Nepalese and Tibetan fare is hearty and flavorful, and the local beers - Everest and Gorkha complement the food well. One complaint was that the cake we shared for dessert was a bit stale.
