Day 1: Khajuraho to Panna National Park - Ken River Lodge - Jhinna Safari Camp
Today you will be pick from Khajuraho / Jabalpur and proceed for Panna National Park. Checkin to best Panna National Park resort and rest of the day enjoy at your leisure. Today we will start with night safari. Night Safari is offered at the Jhinna Safari Camp is an hour’s drive through the national park from the lodge. The Jhinna Camp is run by local villagers and is a Ken River Lodge initiative.It offers 4 basic walk in tents with private separate tented bathrooms, a tribal styled mud dining hall serving local dishes cooked by participating villagers.
Depart late afternoon by jeep to Jhinna (1 hour). At your At leisure at camp, followed by early dinner.
Post dinner, proceed for the night safari in buffer zone (2-3 hours)
Night Safari Special
From the jhinna camp, proceed to reserve forest and explore nocturnal animals. Frequently seen animals include Civets, Jackal, Porcupine, Hynea, Fox, Sloth bear Jungle cat, Blue bull and Cheetal. Also seen less frequently are leopards, Wolves, Rusty spotted cat and Leopard cat. One can also explore the jungle on foot, there is an exciting forested hill with ruins and neighboring villages to be explored. .
Day 2: Village walk & Back to Ken River Lodge - River Boat Trip + Evening Safari
Today after breakfast, you will proceed on Ken River Boat Trip

Enjoy the carefree boat on the mesmerizing Ken River with hands on experience in rowing, also available is an hour ride on a motorized boat. While your river cruise, watch the famed crocodiles. The river ecosystem offers great opportunity for bird watching specially in the winter months with innumerable migratory birds.
Back to lodge & After Lunch ( Only Organic food), Proceed for the evening safari
Panna Evening Safari
The lodge has its own 4x4 open Suzuki jeeps used for jungle safari - morning safari and evening safari are daily organized. The guests are accompanied by trained naturalists to give them a better insight into the park.
Day 3: Panna Tiger Safari Tour + Water falls + Ken Gharial sanctuary
Finally today, we will proceed for the tiger safari tour, specially the Morning Safari The guests are accompanied by trained naturalists to give them a better insight into the park.
Panna is the land of cascading waterfalls, Famous water falls are Raneh falls and Pandav falls in the reserve forest. Along with Raneh falls, Ken Gharial Sanctuary can also be visited to see many Gharials sun basking.
Back in the afternoon after your Morning Safari, have Lunch ( organic Food) spread & rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 4 - Check out & Khajuraho Visit
Today after breakfast, check out and proceed to Khajuraho, which is a world heritage site, famed for temples, just at half hour drive from the lodge. you will see today famous khajuraho temples followed by famous sound and light show, In addition you will also see Rajgarh and Kalinjar forts, which are a must visit.

About Ken River Lodge - The Accomodation

The huts and cottages are spread out in 50 acres of mixed jungle in undulating terrain, giving a jungle experience which few in the country can parallel. The lodge also boasts of a 3000 sq.ft. Machaan were the meals are served. The machaan popularly known as the Tree House overlooks the Ken River and offers fresh home cooked meals.

Panna has been home to a highly successful Tiger relocation project. From near extinction the Tiger population has reached a healthy figure of 30. The complete park is open from 16th October to 30th June and is closed during the rainy season. Hinauta range of the park is open through out the year and besides wildlife it offers cascading waterfalls.

About Panna Diamond Mining
A large diamond deposits exists in Panna, panna diamonds are not very large.The most productive mines in Panna were ifound in Sakaria, around 20 miles (32 km) from Panna. Four classifications were given to the Panna diamonds:

Manik Diamond - With a faint orange tint;

Panna Diamond - Verging in tint towards green;

Bunsput Diamond - Sepia coloured.
Diamond Mines is situated in the interior of Panna district.Diamond mines in Panna are managed under the Diamond Mining Project of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC Ltd) of Government of India.
In other mines every year the land is leased to prospective miners by the government agency. The diamonds unearthed are all collected by the district magistrate of Panna and are auctioned in the month of January.
