Thiruvanmiyur Beach: A Peaceful Sunset at Thiruvanmiyur BeachCertainly one of the most isolated beaches in South India, Thiruvanmiyur is a perfect place to sit back and relax, enjoying a lovely sunset.

 

Pulicat Lake: It is a ‘must visit’ place in Chennai and taking a time to be at Pulicat Lake becomes all the more important to photoshoot. Pulicat Lake is located on Tamilnadu’s border. Covelong beach: Covelong Beach is the place in the East Coast where wind surfing takes place. There is a surf school with resort in the beach. Kovalam (Covelong) is a fishing village in Chennai, India, 40 kilometres south of Chennai, on the East Coast Road en route to Mahabalipuram. Covelong was a port town developed by the Nawab of Carnatic, Saadat Ali. It was taken over by the French in 1746, and destroyed by the British in 1752.

 

Nettukuppam beach: Situated at almost northern-most tip of Chennai, Nettukuppam enjoys the solitary symphony with the clean sea water and cool breezes. Mostly deserted and not being visited much by the people except the locals, for photography-buff, this place is for you. semmozhi poonga: For shooting nature and greenery this garden features eight subgardens displaying flora of different varieties, such as a tree court, mural walk and bonsai, herbal and exotic gardens, in addition to an artificial duck pond. Incorporating elements of an Indian-Buddhist garden, the garden has a wide variety of indigenous species across 22 exclusive areas including palm court, tree court, golden garden (featuring plants that flower in different shades of gold), water and rock garden, butterfly garden, fern garden, sunken garden and theme garden. Twenty-five thematic gardens, including herbal, aromatic, maze and cascade adorn every corner of the park. The garden boasts several exotic herbal species and 90-odd spiral-shaped and multi-branched miniature trees grown in containers.[11] The Bonsai garden is dotted with trees whose height range from 1 foot to 4 feet. At the fag end of the park is the Cascade garden.

 

Chetput Lake: It is the only existing lake at the centre of the city. The lake belongs to the Department of Fisheries of the Tamil Nadu government.  It is located to the north of Chetpet railway station in chennai and it is the best location for photography.

 

Adyar Eco Park: Adyar Eco Park is also known as Adyar Poonga or Tholkappia Poonga and is an ecological park set up by the Government of Tamil Nadu

Vedanthangal Bird Sancturay – 90 kms from Chennai 

Vedanthangal is the oldest water bird sanctuary in the country. Vedanthangal in Tamil language means 'hamlet of the hunter'. This area was a favourite hunting spot of the local landlords in the early 18th century. The region attracted a variety of birds because it was dotted with small lakes that acted as feeding grounds for the birds. Realising its ornithological importance, the British government undertook steps to develop Vedanthangal into a bird sanctuary as early as 1798. The best time to visit this sanctuary is from November to March. During this time, birds are seen busy building and maintaining their nests.

 

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary: Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, India, near the village of Nelapattu. It has an area of 458.92 hectares. It is an important breeding site for spot-billed pelicans (Pelecanus philippensis). The park is an extension of the grounds surrounding Raj Bhavan, formerly known as the 'Guindy Lodge', the official residence of the Governor of Tamil Nadu, India. It extends deep inside the governor's estate, enclosing beautiful forests, scrub lands, lakes and streams.

Flower market-George Town: George Town is a historical neighbourhood of Fort Saint George in Chennai (formerly Madras), India. Zoo, beaches, and wildlife parks form the primary recreation areas of the city. The Arignar Anna Zoological Park,
