Day 01: Arrived at Guwahati airport or railway station to Kohima (355km/7.5 Hours)
Arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station and proceed towards Kohima, the capital town of Nagaland. Enroute you may have lunch at any good restaurant. Day 02: Full day explore Kohima Tribal Village
After breakfast start your day by visit such most visited places in Kohima which includes Japfu Peak eye- catching site nestled at a height of around 3048 meters above sea level, Cathedral of Reconciliation church, Dzukou Valley. After sightseeing you will be taken towards nearest eateries for lunch, later you will visit Bara Basti most ancient village of Kohima and known to be the second largest and most populated village of Asia. Kohima: Kohima is the hilly capital of India's north eastern border state of Nagaland which shares its borders with Myanmar. This picturesque town is the home of the brave and daring, yet simple and innocent, Naga tribes. Lapped in the eastern frontiers of the Himalayan mountain range, Kohima is marked by an unhurried pace of life, calm and serene environs and fresh, unpolluted air, which make a welcome change for a jaded city dweller. This capital town is at a distance of 339 km from Guwahati, 145 km from Imphal and 74 km from Dimapur. The National Highway 39 connects it to both Dimapur and Imphal. It experiences around 250 cm of annual rainfall. While summers are tropical, winters are dry and bitterly cold.
Day 03: Enjoyment in Kohima Village
Today we shall take part in the ‘Hornbill Festival’ which is annually celebrated at Kisama, Kohima from the 1stDec to 7th Dec. It is a celebration of all the tribes coming together with their colourful attires, songs, dances. They are stalls where one can collect souvenirs, local food and traditionally prepared wine are also additional attraction of the festival. All these 7 days are occupied with both day and night events. Apart from the day activities and amusements one can witness western musical nights, fashion show, night bazaar where you can organize your dinner. “World hottest chilly” eating competition is becoming a total new experience for many people to participate or even to see. After the programmed is over for the day we shall visit Kigwema village and Overnight stay with dinner at Kohima Hotel.

Day 04: Kohima – Khonoma – Kohima
Today we shall drive to Khonoma village 20km/1hr. The ‘First Green Village of the country’, on our village tour we shall come across ceremonial gate, morung, fort, age group house, cairn circle, meet local craftsmen and traditional lunch out the village. Post Lunch we take a ‘nature walk’. We come across the most sustainablejhum fields alone with Alder Tress, herbal plants, hear birds chirping, etc. Drive back to Kohima and Overnightstay with dinner at Kohima.

Day 05: Kohima to Tuophema (36km/1.5 Hours)
After breakfast get ready to proceed Tuophema village which is known as home of the northern Angami tribe, situated deep in the central Naga Hills. Upon arrival you have time to meet people, interact with then, visit their house and have a cup of tea as well. We shall walk to Gariphima village which 7km away from Tuophema village, traditional lunch on reaching the village. Post lunch walk around the village. We either drive OR walk back to Tuophema village and overnight stay with dinner at community Cottage.

Day 07: Tuophema to Mokokchung (110km/3 Hours)
After breakfast start your day by proceed Mokokchung Mokokchung is an ancient village in the former Naga Hills, Nagaland, India. According to the folklores, the Ao Nagas emerged from ‘six stones’. These stones symbolize their forefathers and that location is named as ‘Longterok’ which means six stones. Upon arrival check in to Hotel/hut and rest of the day free at your leisure. Day 09: Wildlife Safari at Kaziranga National park
Get up in the morning approx 05:00 am, our representative will take you to the elephant riding point by jeeps enjoy elephant safari which starts from 05:30 am - 06:30 am or a second shift start from 6.30 am-7.30 am depends on you, enjoys an outing to the Western range of the park. After elephant safari you will come back to resorts and have breakfast, rest some hours at your leisure. After lunch get ready to explore jeep safari at central range which starts from 01:30 pm – 03:30 pm. Early in the morning you will visit for elephant safari at eastern range. Day 11: Kaziranga National Park to Nameri National Park (89km/2 Hours)
After breakfast check out from Kaziranga Resort and proceed towards Nameri National Park. The habitat consists of tropical evergreen, semi evergreen, moist deciduous forests with cane and bamboo brakes and narrow strips of open grassland along rivers. After breakfast you will be taken to Nameri National park to explore another part of Park. Cathedral of Reconciliation: The church's semi- circular building with a facade in line with traditional Naga house and modern architectural ideas describe in details the architectural brilliance of the ancient era. interestingly, the construction of the cathedral was funded by Japanese people who wanted to build a monument and dedicate the same to those Japanese soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the battle of Kohima during World War II.
War Cemetery: War Cemetry in Kohima is a significant historical landmark dedicated to as many as 10,000 brave soldiers of the 2nd British Division of Allied Forces who gave up their lives in World War II at Kohima during the year 1944. The cemetery is designed in a series of terraces where stone steps lead to the way. Beautifully covered with grass and roses, the plots of the cemetery looks like a colourful blanket sculpted with stories of brave hearts who laid down their lives for the nation.
Bara Basti: Bara Basti is believed to be the most ancient village of Kohima as well. It is also known to be the second largest and most populated village of Asia. Tuophema Tourist Village is located 41 km away from the main town of Kohima which borders Burma. The huts in this place are built in traditional Naga style. People of Shillong
The people of Shillong are exceptionally hospitable and friendly. They welcome their guests with tremendous curtsey and talk to them in a very sweet and companionable tone. Khasi language is used in Shillong to communicate to each other, the traditional attire of a Khasi woman is ‘Jainsem’ i.e. two pieces of cloth pinned at the shoulder and covered with a shawl known as ‘Tapmohkhlieh’. In ancient times the indigenous Khasi men used to wear dhoti, half coat and turban. However, due to the increasing western influence people dress themselves in shirts and trousers these days.

Nohkalikai Falls: Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Mawsmai Cave: the Mawsmai Caves are a major crowd puller that leaves tourists spellbound. These limestone caves have the distinction of being the only caves in Meghalaya that are lit enough to enable tourists to enjoy the natural formations in awe. The cave has a spacious opening but it soon squeezed into a small neck. The cave is a one way road- enters from one and goes out the other. In the middle, there are places where you've to bend and squeeze yourself out. As beautiful and adventurous as it was it can be a bit suffocating, if stuck with a large group.
Elephant Falls: Elephant Falls is situated at the outskirts of the main city of Shillong. It is almost 12 kms away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Elephant Falls is increased manifold by the two falls-the Wir Phang Falls and the Wei Iaplam Falls. Though both of them are busy tourist spots, none resembles the voluminous and elegant Elephant Falls.
Double Decker Root Bridge: Double Decker Root Bridge Located in the thick tropical forest of Meghalaya, cloaked with rain during most part of the year is the fantastic man-made cum natural wonders of the living room bridges. Created by the people of the Khasi tribe, these roots grow from the ancient rubber trees, seen only in the northeast region. These roots are trained by the Khasis to grow in such a manner as be in the form of bridges on the top of a river.

About Nameri National Park
Nameri National Park is a national park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India, about 35 km from Tezpur. The Pakhui (Pakke) Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh adjoins the Park on its North-Eastern point. Together they constitute an area of over 1000 km 2 of semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests with cane and bamboo brakes and narrow strips of open grassland along rivers. Nameri is a birder's paradise with over 300 species of birds. Bordering Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, it is located along the banks of a tributary of River Brahmaputra. Spread over 344 Sq. km, the national park is blessed with biodiversity.
Habitat of Flora and Fauna in Nameri National Park
The habitat of Nameri is made up of tropical evergreen, Semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests with cane and bamboo brakes and narrow strips of open grassland along rivers. Some notable species are Gamari, Titachopa, Amari, Bogipoma, Ajar, Urium poma, Bhelou, Agaru, Rudraksha, Bonjolokia, Hatipolia akhakan, ahollock, Nahor, Siya Nahar, Simul, Bonsum etc. Orchoids include Dendrobium, Cymbidium, Ladies Sleeper etc. Tree Fern,Lianas, creepers are some of the specialties of this forests.

Kaziranga National Park Assam
The Kaziranga is a vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests, crisscrossed by four major rivers, including the Brahmaputra, and the park includes numerous small bodies of water. Kaziranga has been the theme of several books, songs, and documentaries. The park celebrated its centennial in 2005 after its establishment in 1905 as a reserve forest.

Zones in Kaziranga National Park
There are 4 Zones in Kaziranga National Park which includes Central Range or Kaziranga Range, Western Range or Bagori, Eastern Range or Agaratoli, Burapahar Range.
Central Range or Kaziranga Range: Central Range or Kaziranga Range is situated at a distance of 28 km Safari rides passes through the Dagland and Foliomari area. The designated safari routes for central range is (Mihimukh - Kathpora -Daphlang - Diffolu River Bank -Mona Beel - Karasing & back)
Western Range or Bagori: Western Range or Bagori is 28 km away , usually guests prefer to take safari in the western zone where they will have chance to get close view of the one-horned rhinos. The designated safari routes: (Ongabeel -Rouman - Rajapukhuri -Monabeel & back)
Eastern Range or Agaratoli: Maximum one hour time slot is allotted for one safari trip. This range is considered perfect for viewing water birds such as Bengal Florican, White-eyed Pochard and fish eagle. It is 22 km away the elephant safari routes is: (Agratoli Sohola beel - Rongamotia -Maklung - Turturoni - Dhoba & back)
Burapahar Range: The starting point of this last zone is near Rhinoland Park. Tourists can enjoy safari rides maximum for one hour in a shift. Approx 17 Kms path is dedicated and passes through the Horakati - Potahibeel - Diffalu - Tunikati and back with designated stop at Tunikati Tower
Safari charges
Before making entry to the park tourists are required to obtain tickets for the safari one day before from the Kohora range on payment of requisite fee.
Indians Tourist: Indian Tourist pay Rs. 450 entry fees in wildlife and Jeep or elephant safari charges became 4500
Foreigners Tourist: Foreigners where usually paid Rs. 550 entry fees and Jeep or elephant safari charges became 4500

About Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife reserve in the Morigaon district of the state of Assam in India. It is located about 30 km east of Guwahati. The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is about 48 km by road from Guwahati. Pobitara wildlife sanctuary is the Garanga Beel on the south and the river Brahmaputra on the North, rest of the boundary are artificial and surrounded by 27 villages. Significantly, the PA is free from human habitation. The Wildlife Sanctuary which is spread over an area of just 38 sq. kilometers is a small, heavenly segment of raw wilderness and greenery. The refreshing breeze of the lower Himalayas, the greenness and calm of the sanctuary and the thrill of being one with nature is enough to tempt anyone for a visit to this amazing place
Pobitora wildlife sanctuary elephant ride
There were 5-6 elephants available for the safari. The guides took us on a raised platform, known as the elephant ride point. From that raised platform, we rode on the elephant’s back carefully. you can chose any elephant and the guide. All elephants moved together in a group towards the forest. Apart from those elephants, there was a small elephant on which, two armed guards were riding. 10 minutes after leaving the ride point, we entered into a dense forest.

Pobitora elephant safari timings
The sanctuary is open from sunrise to sunset, but it has fixed timings for elephant safaris. Two Elephant safaris are there in the morning. The official timings are 0630 hrs and 0730 hrs for one hour duration each.
Note: Jeep Safari for one hour is available throughout the day, without any fixed timings
