1-Altitude, perched on the uppermost floors of One Raffles Place is the highest alfresco bar in the world. They house a combination of 3 concept bars and restaurants: 282 and City Golf, Stellar and 1-Altitude Gallery & Bar. So if you don't want to shell out on dinner just go there for the drinks.

What I like best about it is the spectacular 360 view on a clear night. It grants you views that stretches across to Indonesia and Malaysia.

3. Get romantic 200m in the air at KU DE TA

Price: $20++

Situated atop the 57th floor Marina Bay Sands tower, this lounge, bar and restaurant is the epitome of all things classy. Food is not fantastic but its the place you want to be seen at and the view is to die for.

It's a little harsh on the pockets for the young ones but a little indulgence goes a long way!

Tip for non-hotel guests: If you would pay $20 to visit the Sands Skypark, why not pay the same for a cocktail at Ku De Ta with the same view? No actually, the same view with a better atmosphere.

4. Wine & Dine aboard City-Sightseeing Boats

Price: $400++ (Private Boat)

For the really ambitious as this is not cheap.

You could privately charter a boat and spend the night on a cruise drinking up the bright lights of our fine city. Bring her favourite dishes along with a bottle of aromatic wine to give your partner the surprise of a lifetime! Costly but definitely blow-off-the-roof romantic.

5. Dine aboard the Jewel Cable Car

If dining in the Singapore flyer is not for you, an alternative is Cable Car dining. This may provide a more intimate experience since the Singapore Flyer cabins are shared. You feel more vulnerable here too, adding to the excitement.

You can choose between a regular or floral cabin and have the amenities customized to your liking. Enjoy the comprehensive view of Sentosa and the harbour at sunset while on this hour and a half trip.
