They do this by tracking their footprints and dung, and since they share such a close relationship with the elephants, they also know their favorite hangouts! Season to visit Jog Falls
The best season to visit Shimoga is the winter season i.e. from the month of October to March. The summers in Shimoga climate are hot and generally avoided by the tourists. Shimoga Wildlife Sanctuary
Sharavathi Wildlife Sanctuary is in Sagar of Shimoga District in Karnataka. It is 350 Kms from Bangalore. Located near Jog Falls, the sanctuary covers the Sharavathi Valley Region, near the western border of Karnataka. It is spread over an area of 431 Kms.
