Shimla Manali Package from Kerala & Tamilnadu: Itinerary 

   

Day 1: Depart from Kochin/Trivendrum/Chennai & Arrival at Chandigarh by flight/train

Start from kerala for your great Himachal tour early morning, We can book your flight/train tickets from Kochin/Trivendrum/Chennai to Chandigarh. Our Holiday Travel Executive will meet you upon arrival at  airport/railway station in Chandigarh.

We Proceed to Shimla at a distance of only 120 kms through State Highway No 16,  which is approx. Max 3 hours’ drive from Chandigarh. Reach Shimla by Evening. Check into the select Shimla hotel & Evening at your leisure.

Visit Mall Road in the evening after your South indian Freshly prepared dinner & also Ridge to enjoy the Shimla's view & crowd.

Today has been a very busy Day, hence a good night sleep is recommended.

Day 2: Shimla Local Seeing & Kufri Visit

Today after breakfast, we will proceed for half day excursion to Kufri (2500mts). Visit Indira Bungalow & the Himalayan Zoo (closed on Monday). Incase, a Monday falls on this day, guests would be taken to Naldhera Golf course instead of Kufri. (Pony ride charges to be paid directly)

In the Afternoon, Visit  Scandal Point & Shimla Church. Night Stay at hotel in Shimla.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali Drive (approx 280 kms / 7 hours)

Drive to Manali from Shimla 

After breakfast at hotel, depart for Manali. We have two options, Either go through the NH 21 through Mandi, Sundernagar to Manali or through State Highway 22 and 305 through Tirthan Valley ( Banjar) to Kullu Manali. The choice is yours, Mandi - Sundernagar route is also worth exploring, while Tirthan Valley route is less travelled and passes through some of the spectacular scenes. Well if we go through Mandi Route, We Drive past Beas-Sutlej Link project, Pandoh Dam & Kullu Valley. We will ensure that enough stops we make at picturesque Points to click cameras & take memoirs..

Reach Manali late in the evening & Check in to your hotel in Manali on arrival. Stay overnight at the hotel in Manali.

Day 4: Manali Local Siteseeing

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour. Visit Vashishtha Kund, Hidimba Temple, Manu Mandir and Gayatri Mandir.

Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Stay overnight at the hotel in Manali.

Day 5: Manali Excursion to Rohtang Pass Snow Point

Early morning wake up at 1:30 AM and we proceed at sharp 2:30 AM for the Rohtang Pass Trip, take a half day excursion to Rohtang Snow Point. (closed on Tuesday).On return, take a half day excursion to Solang Valley. You can opt for adventure sports like Para Gliding, Zorbing, Skiing (subject to snow) on direct payment basis.

Return to Manali. Stay overnight at the hotel in Manali.

Note:

  • Rohtang pass is 51 Kms | 2hrs one way. It is not accessible for almost eight months in a year as it is covered by snow. We generally visit the snow point on Rohtang Road subject to weather conditions.
  • Solang Valley: All the adventure sports at Solang Valley are on direct payment basis & subject to weather conditions.

*Both the Rohtang Pass & Solang Valley is to be covered on the very same day.

Day 6: Manali to Chandigarh (340 km / 8 hours)

After breakfast, transfer to Chandigarh and reach by noon. After lunch take a tour of Rock Garden & Sukhna Lake (Entry tickets and Boat ride charges to be paid directly).

Day 7: Depart from Chandigarh by flight/train

After breakfast, transfer to Chandigarh airport to board your flight to Cochin or Train Station to board your train to Kerala.

How to reach Manali from Kerala

By Air: If you are planning for Manali trip so its best way to reach chandigarh by flight from Kochi via Delhi just in 5 hours with same flight. Kochi is well connected with Capital city Delhi and Delhi is well connected with Chandigarh. So it is very easy way to reach Shimla Manali by air.

By Train: If your budget is low and would like to visit Shimla Manali so there is another option in low budget through train. Sampak Kranthi train run between Trivendrum and Chandigarh 2 times in a week (Monday and Saturday). It departs from Trivendrum at 9:20 and reach Chandigarh 3rd day at 17:25.
