Day 1: Arrival in Sangla
On your arrival at Chandigarh, take a direct bus or cab from here towards Sangla via Solan, Shimla and Kufri. It is a drive of 10-11 hours’ through the beautiful villages of Theog, Matiana, Narkanda, Kumarsain and Rampur. Enroute you will get many comfort stops. Once you reach your destination, transfer to your hotel in Sangla for overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Sightseeing in Sangla Valley and Chitkul
After a comfortable night, it is time to explore Sangla Valley. Start your day with good breakfast and rush for sightseeing. About 3 km. far from Sangla Valley, there is a popular 1000-year-old Kamru Fort believed to be one of the oldest forts in Himachal Pradesh. After visiting this historic fort head towards Chitkul.
About 30 km. drive from the Sangla Valley will take you to Chitkul, the last village before Indo Tibet border. The magical charm offered by this villages is unmatched and incomparable. The scenery is stunning, and you will have enough of time to enjoy and store the natural beauty in your cameras. Chitkul remains inaccessible during winters due to heavy snowfall.
Take strolls along the lovely meadows in the apple orchards while your stay in Sangla Valley. If you are interested in snow play, you can hike to the glacier point. Later the rest of the day is free to relax in the mountain landscape or if you like you can head for a nature walk to another nearby villages. After a full day sightseeing, return to the hotel for a cosy stay.
Day 3: Full Day Sightseeing In and Around Sangla Valley
Have breakfast and rush to explore the 2nd day in Sangla by visiting Kalpa, Roghi and Kothi Village. Kalpa is one of the best destinations to see sunset and sunrise in the Himalayas over Kinner Kailash range. The place is awe-inspiring and the views of Kinner Kailash range would just make your jaws drop at any day.
After exploring beautiful Kalpa your next destination will be Roghi Village. It is about 7 km from Kalpa. This beautiful place is popular for its traditional lifestyle and stunning apple orchards. You can talk to the locals as they have a great knowledge of the place, its flora and fauna. You can get enough decent knowledge in the village from them in case you are interested to know about Kinnaur Valley and this region. Your next destination will be the Kothi Village which is 3 km from Recong Peo. This village is famous for Chandika Devi temple which has an unusual architectural style and fine sculpture set with a beautiful mountains backdrop.
Next, we will visit the Wildlife Sanctuaries located in Reckong Peo, namely the Rakchham-Chhitkul Sanctuary, the Lipa- Asrang Sanctuary, and the Rupi- Bhaba Sanctuary. These sanctuaries are home to a number of wildlife, including species like leopard, ibex, red fox, goral, yak, blue sheep, musk deer, brown bear and the Himalayan black deer.
Day 4: Sangla to Sarahan
Check out of the hotel and depart for Sarahan via Karcham. Your journey from here will take you to another spectacular destination in the middle of the Himalayas which is known as Sarahan. It is no doubt the ravishing place in Himachal. On reaching, check in to the hotel and make yourself comfortable. Sarahan offers a magnificent view of Shrikhand Mahadev Peak.
Sarahan has various attractions, among them, the Bhimakali Temple Complex, the Bird Park, and Bhaba Valley are a few names. Bhimakali Temple is known for its 800 years old Hill Architecture. Day 5: Sarahan to Narkanda

How to Reach Sangla Valley
By Flight: The nearest Domestic Airport is Jubbarhatti Airport, Shimla, 194 Kms from Sangla. The second nearest Domestic Airport is Bhuntar Airport, roughly three and a half hour drive from Sangla. A taxi to Sangla will cost Rs 4,500 approximately RS 3,500 for an indica taxi and Rs 4,000 for a Qualis
By Bus: As taxi at Jubbarhatti airport and Kalka station are not always agreeable for the long onward journey to Sangla, it’s best to head out in your own vehicle preferably one with a high clearance. Note that it is vital to break journey en route while driving from Delhi to Sangla. Travelling by a cab or car is ideal for families with senior citizens and kids or while in a group.
By Train: The nearest Railway Station is Shimla Railway and is located at a distance of 194 Kms from Sangla. Shimla Railway Station is well connected with Kalka Railway Station and with the cities like Gumman, Kumarhatti, Sonwara, Barog, Kandaghat, Kathleeghat, Taradevi and Summer Hill etc.
How to Reach Shimla
By Flight: The nearest airport to Shimla is situated at Jubbarhatti, 22 kms from Shimla has regular flights from Delhi but due to bad weather conditions, flights may be irregular. Alternatively better option is to reach Chandigarh Airport at a distance of 120 Kms away, from Chandigarh , you can board Holiday Travel Taxi to reach Shimla in approx 2.5-3 hours.
By Toy Train from Kalka: From Kalka, the Narrow-Gauge Kalka-Shimla Unesco - Heritage Toy Train connects to Shimla. The total distance covered is 96 kms from Kalka to Shimla with 107 Tunnels & 864 Bridges. The Shimla toy train starts Journey at 656 meters (2,152 ft) above sea level in Kalka and reaches Shimla at an altitude of 2,076 meters.
The route offers a panoramic feast of the picturesque Himalayas from the Shivalik foot hills at Kalka to several important points such as Dharampur, Solan, Kandaghat, Taradevi, Barog, Salogra, Summerhill and Shimla. The Railway has 919 curves, the sharpest being 48 degrees. The journey takes about five-and-a-half hours to reach Shimla.
By Train: Indian Railways connects up-to Kalka ( about 100kms from Shimla) By broad-gauge line. The Kalka station is connected to most major cities in India, including Delhi and Calcutta
