By Air:  Rishikesh does not have any Airport facility, so we can not directly reach to the Rishikesh by the Flights.  The nearest airport from the Rishikesh is Delhi Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport), which is 240.5 km from Rishikesh.

During 8th century Adi Shankaracharya, one of most renowned and revered sages from India, built several temples and ashrams in the region.
