Day 1: Arrival at Pathankot
Your journey will start from Pathankot. Pathankot is easily accessible due to the well-established transportation network. It connects all the metro cities of India through air, rail and road. So you can take either of them to reach Pathankot. The first stopover in this package will be Dalhousie. It is a beautiful high-altitude town which is famous for colonial-era monuments such as St. Francis and St. John’s churches. The temple of Kali Bari is nearby to the Scandal Point enshrines the idol of Shyamla Devi, the presiding deity of Shimla. St. Michael’s Cathedral/ Shimla church: The other important church, St. Michael’s Cathedral, which is built like a cruciform, is just off the Mall. Vice Regal Lodge, now known as the Rashtrapati Niwas (President’s House) is the most impressive colonial edifice of Shimla, located on the top of Observatory Hill, this Elizabethan mansion was built in 1888 for Lord Differing. It now houses the Institute of Advanced Studies, and is open only in some parts to the public.

The entire area is bounded with the thick deodar forest, and lofty birch trees, which creates an unspoiled and pungent atmosphere. Vashisht Temple Manali: Vashisht village is a green patch of steep hill hanging at the base on a cliff. The village is 6 km from Manali at the banks of the Beas River opposite Old Manali. The village of Vashisht was named after Rishi Vashisht one of the seven sages of Hindu. According to the legend, Rishi Vashisht was left depressed on finding out that his children had been killed by Vishwamitra. The water from this spring is believed to have great healing powers, which can cure many skin diseases and other infections. There are Turkish-style bath houses available here that contain the hot water from the springs, which are used to take bath and enjoy the warmth of the place in privacy.
Manu temple: This magnificent temple is dedicated to the sage Manu, who is said to be the creator of the world and the writer of Manusmriti. The Manu Temple is located in old Manali, at a distance of three kilometers from the main market. The temple is one of the prime attractions in Manali and is believed to be the same place where sage Manu meditated after stepping on earth.
Solang Valley: Solang Valley is a beautiful valley with enchanting views of snow capped mountains, thick conifer forest, lush green meadows and a meandering river.
