The place is famous for its temple of renowned goddess Bala Sundri. The temple was built by Raja Dip Parkash in 1573. A path connects it with the Nahan-Kala Amb Road at Sainwala, nearly 9.6 km below Nahan. A road runs between Kala Amb and Trilokpur for a distance of 6.4 km.There is a large pukka tank outside Trilokpur village built by Kanwar Surjan Singh in 1867 in order to remove the then obtaining scarcity of water in the village. Now, a piped water supply scheme having been completed, the tank has been taken possession of by the Fisheries Department of Himachal Pradesh for fish culture. The village is electrified. The population of the village numbers 664 and its land covers an area of 742 hectares. An important fair is held at Trilokpur twice a year i.e.in the month of Chaitra and Asvina on sudi ashtmi to chaudas (from the 8th to the 14th of the bright half). ABOUT RENUKA JI
The Renuka Lake (660 m) is regarded as the embodimezznt of Renukaji, the wife of sage Jamadagini and mother of Parshuram, one of the ten Avtars of Lord Vishnu. Shaped like a profile of a woman, the lake has the circumference of 2.5 km and is the largest in Himachal. This placid stretch of water is fed by underground springs and the surrounding hills are padded by lush forests that support a large variety of plant and animal life. Boating and trekking are the additional attractions of Renukaji, whose natural beauty has to be seen to be believed. This is perfect year around destination that beckons every traveler.
Renuka Site Seeing Tour and Attractions
RENUKA LAKE: Legend has it that when the evil Sahasarjuna killed the sage Jamadagini and tried to abduct his wife Renuka. She flung herself into the water. The gods restored her to life and this lake is regarded to be her embodiment. There is a row of temples along its banks, and a track encircles the water. Boats are available on hire next to the hotel.
PARASHURAMA TAL AND RENUKA TEMPLE (100M): At the base of the Renuka lake, this large pool is considered to embrace Lord Parshurama, who wished to spend all eternity at his mother's feet. Reportedly built overnight by an invading force of Gurkhas in early 19th Century, the original temple of Renukaji is here. Both mother and son are reunited every year at a celebratory fair held in November.
JAMU PEAK (8 km): Above the lake is the peak where Rishi Jamadagini is said to have meditated. A footpath leads to the peak. There is a small temple and it offers an excellent view of the lake and surrounding area.
MINI ZOO (2 km): You can boat across the lake or drive to this zoo, which has Asiatic lions, spotted deer, lion tailed macaques, 'Nilgai' Methuen, barking deer and Himalayan black bears.
LION SAFARI (2 km): Adjoining the zoo, an armored van enters the large enclosure allowing for a close glimpse of the lions within.
JATAUN (5 km): The dam of the Giri Hydel Project is here and angling for Mahaseer (river carp) may be done.

SHRINE OF BABA GARIB NATH (8 km) : Located in a sal forest and with an excellent view of the area, the shrine is revered by childless women.
HARIPUR DHAR:
Haripur is the name applied to a mountain called Haripur Dhar. Perched on a peak of this hill like a silent sentinel, a fort was built on this range of mountain by the rulers of erstwhile Sirmour State. The fort reminds the visitor of the historical period when to hold or capture such forts used to be the chief aim of the contending hill states. Its main attraction is the wild game in its vicinity.
MAA BHANGAYANI TEMPLE:
Maa Bhangayani is a god sister of Shirgul Maharaj. To Bhangayani Devi, this temple is dedicated and a famous temple in Himachal Pradesh. In Delhi, Maa Bhangayni is also known as Delhi Devi. Maa Bhangayani is beleived to be the most powerful Devi in Sirmour. This temple has a history that connects Maa Bhangayni to Chureshwar Mahadev. As per the legends,Shirgul Mahadev was imprisoned by a Mughal King of that time. Because Mughal King was frightened by Shirgul Mahadev’s spiritual powers. The King of Bagad, Guga peer helped him to gain freedom with the blessings of Mata Bhangyani. This incident has been enlisted in golden chapters and since then Maa Bhangyani has been celebrated as god sister of Shirgul Mahadev.
CHURDHAR PEAK:
The enchanting Churdhar mountain in Sirmaur is one of the Shivalik ranges at a height of 11965 feet (it is the highest peak in southern Himachal Pradesh), Churdhar, commonly known as Churichandni (Bangle of Snow), is blessed with some of the most spectacular and beautiful landscapes in this region. The view from the summit embraces a vast panorama of lowland tracts towards the south and snow-capped ranges, including the peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath in the Garhwal region, towards the north. It is believed that this is the very place where Hanuman discovered the life-restoring Sanjivini booti, which revived Lakshmana, Lord Rama’s younger brother. Ruins of an ancient town have been discovered at the nearby Dundi Devi.Trekkers tread over small glaciers on their way to the wind-blown Churdhar summit, which has moderate to heavy snowfall (average of 33 feet snow). On a clear sunny day, you can be rewarded with a view of the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, Gangetic plains, the Sutlej river and hills of Shimla and Chakrata. Atop the Churdhar summit lie the lingams of Shiva and Kali, where once goat and sheep were sacrificed. Devotees hoist flags and make offerings here.
SHIVALIK FOSSIL PARK
The Shivalik Fossil Park, saketi is situated amidst picturesque exposures of the Shivalikhills in the Markanda Valley, Sirmour District, Himachal Pradesh. The Park has been developed by the Geological Survey of India, in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh Government as a significant step towards preservation of Prehistoric animal sites, restoration of their natural environment and utilization of the same for scientific, educational and recreational purposes. The Park inaugurated in 1974, displays life-size models of pre-historic animals which thrived in the area 1 to 2.5 million years ago, the fossilized remains of which have been excavated from Saketi and adjacent areas. Many spectacular fossil specimens of this collection belonging to vertebrate groups have been exhibited in a small museum in the Park. In addition, the site has been developed to give a panorama of Plio-Pleistocene period (2.5 million years ago) through massive afforestation which has provided a green cover to the Park besides enhancing its beauty.
DAKPATHAR
Strategically positioned near the banks of mighty River Yamuna, Dakpathar in Dehradun has recently been developed into a leisure spot. The brainchild of the GMVN (Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam), Dakpathar is naturally exotic surrounded with forests and bejeweled with lush green lawns and gardens. Dakpathar’s natural beauty is partially due to the nearby Yamuna Hydel Scheme which makes Dakpathar a fantastic tourist spot. There is a government guest house with a functional swimming pool for overnight or short time visitors.
Attractions
There are many attractions near Dakpathar, the first being the Hydel Power Station near River Yamuna. Its sheer size and dimension would awestruck from every angle you see it. The second should be the extremely ancient Rock Edict of legendary King Asoka at Kalsi, about six kms from Dakpathar. Next one can go to the Asan Barrage Water Sports Resort Complex which is about 11 kilometers from Dakpathar and has exciting water sport facilities. Subsequently you can visit Lakha Mandal, 80 kilometers from Dakpathar where one will discover abundant statues of archaeological significance.
