Pachmarhi Wildlife Sanctuary 

The Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve is a non-use conservation area and biosphere reserve in the Satpura Range of Madhya Pradesh state in central India Made by Harshit of Tezpur. The conservation area was created in 1999 by the Indian government. UNESCO designated it a biosphere reserve in 2009. Satpura National Park lies in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Central India. Adjoining to famous hill station Pachmarhi, Satpura Tiger Reserve, on encompassing, Pachmarhi Wildlife Sanctuary and Bori Wildlife Sanctuary makes 1427 sq. km. area, ideal place for some rare wildlife species and medicinal trees. In the year 1981, Satpura National Park was established with an area of 524 sq. km.  Tiger reserve is offers panoramic view of nature at its best with rocky mountain peaks, gorges, gurgling water falls, sparkling stream, dense deep valleys, rivulets etc. This unexplored hill station was first explored by Captain James Forsyth of British Army in 1857. It became a sanatorium for British troops in the Central Provinces of India.

The forests are dominated by teak (Tectona grandis). They include the westernmost groves of sal (Shorea robusta), which is the dominant tree of eastern India's forests . The reserve was established looking at the vast natural resources, diverse and rich flora and fauna, unique topography and geographic situation, inhabitation of large tribal population in the State of Madhya Pradesh. The conservation history of the Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve is quite long. The scientific management and conservation of the Indian forests was started for the first time in the year 1865, by separating the Bori Reserve Forest that lies in Bori Wildlife Sanctuary, at present.
