After arrival at Mysore airport or railway station and meet with our representative and they will meet you with warm welcome and proceed to Mysore which is 151 km far away from Bangalore. Before reach Mysore you will stop for any highway Dhaba/Restaurant for lunch later you will continue your journey to Mysore. After reach you will transfer to hotel and you have full day free at your leisure, in the evening you will visit nearest market for shopping, after that you will come back to hotel. Overnight stay with dinner at Mysore hotel

 

Day 01: FOOD

After breakfast you will visit some famous temples of Mysore which includes Nimishambha temple, Chamundeswari temple, Jama Masjid, after that you will have a lunch at The Foodie Restaurant later you will visit St. Philomena's Church, Chamundeswari Temple, in the evening you will come back to hotel. Overnight stay with dinner at Mysore hotel

Nimishambha temple: This temple is based on the banks of the River Cauvery. Sri Nimishamba is considered as the incarnation of, wife of Lord Shiva. This place Ganjam is considered as a holy place. Nimisha means one minute in Kannada. This temple was built during the time of the Wodeyar Rule, by Mummadi Krishnaraja Odeyar about 300 to 400 years ago. Nimishamba Temple is located on the road leading to Sangam on the banks of the River Cauvery. Presiding deity of the temple is Sri Nimishamba, who is considered as the incarnation of Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva.

 

Chamundeswari temple: The Chamundeshwari temple is located on the eastern edge of Mysore at height of 1000ft on the Chamundi hills. The temple is dedicated to goddess Durga. The Chamundeshwari temple is one of the oldest temples in the palace city of Mysore and is a must see attraction. Thousands of Devotee's every year visit to pray and feel the divine aura of the deity of the temple goddess Durga. The view from the temple is exhilarating, you can see many significant structures fo the city including the Lalitha Mahal palace.

Other attraction in Mysore

Chamundi Hills is located 13 km east of Mysore, the Palace City, in Karnataka. Chamundeeswari the tutelary deity of the Mysore Maharajas has been held in reverence for centuries, and the Wodeyars of Mysore have made extensive contributions to this shrine. Chamundeeswari, or Durga is the fierce form of Shakti who vanquished the demon Mahishasuran. A colorful image of the demon greets visitors as they reach the summit of the hill.

The Palace of Mysore is a historical palace in the city of Mysore in Karnataka, southern India. It is the official residence and seat of the Wodeyars. The palace houses two durbar halls (ceremonial meeting halls of the royal court) and incorporates a mesmerizing and gigantic array of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. One of the most interesting features of the Public Durbar Hall is its beautifully painted columns that create an illusion of endless corridors. Paintings depicting scenes from the Hindu Epic Ramayana and large mirrors on the walls are also its major highlights.

Fondly nicknamed as the 'City of Palaces', Mysore's architectural beauty revolves around its age old gallant palaces bearing the royal stories of Wodeyar dynasty. n its list of palaces, Jaganmohan Palace occupies a strikingly important position and is known to attract visitors since its inception. The palace stands as one of the most beautiful contributions of Wodeyar kings. Built during 1861, the palace emanates traditional Hindu style of art and architecture. The palace has been the home to many historical events of Mysore, Precious artefacts and artworks from all over South India are kept here on display. The entrance door of this art gallery features intricate carvings that are exemplary of fine craftsmanship.

Jama Masjid is one of the favorite mosques of the famous King Tipu Sultan. The mosque is painted in white, has a unique small little dome and also showcases magnificent towers. The Masjid was founded by Tipu Sultan and has a double storied structure. Jama Masjid is one of the popular places to visit in Srirangapatna which is located at a distance of around 23 km from Mysore. It was constructed in the year of 1784 by Tipu Sultan when he began his rule in Mysore Kingdom
