About - - Ahmedabad or spelled Ahmadabad is the sixth largest city in India and is the commercial hub of Gujrat. Day 1 – Reach Ahmedabad

You’ll reach Ahmedabad where our representatives will pick you up from railway station/airport and will transfer you to the hotel. Later in the evening we’ll visit Kanakaria Lake followed by dinner at Manek Chowk.

Kankaria Lake is a famous tourist attraction in Ahmedabad. The lake was made in 1451 by Sultan Qutub-ub-Din. This place is a famous recreation center that is surrounded by parks, 'Bal Vatika', an aquarium, a boat club, a natural historical museum and a zoo.

Manek chowk is a famous street food joint in Ahmedabad that runs only during night. Hundreds of people eat every day on this square that is transformed into a giant outdoor restaurant complete with tables, chairs, vendor booths serving variety of food items.

Day 2 - Ahmedabad Sightseeing

We leave early morning for local sightseeing in Ahmedabad we start from Old Ahmedabad by starting from Kalupur Swaminarayan temple followed by visiting the different pols, shrines and temples in this area and finally the trip will end at Jamma Masjid. This mosque was built in year 1424 by ruler of Ahmedabad in a grand shape and structure with around 15 domes and 260 spires in the mosque.

We later move to Sarkhez Roza, Sidi Saiyad Mosque and finally to Sabarmati Ashram where father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi once lived. In the evening we will visit the Sabarmati river front after which we will return to hotel from overnight and dinner.

Day 3 – Ahmedabad – Modhera - Gandhinagar (Ahmedabad to Modhera 102 km/2h + Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar 27 km/40min)

Today after breakfast we will drive to Modhera, this place is famous for an ancient sun temple under supervision of ASI right now. After Modhera we travel towards Gandhinagar and visit Adalaj step well in route as our first stop, from here we move to Indroda Nature Park that is a famous place with ponds, a zoo and remains of dinosaurs excavated from here.

From here we will visit Akshardham temple in the evening to enjoy the laser show and return to the hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 4 –Ahmedabad – Vadodara (122 km/2h)

We check out from our hotel in Ahmedabad and leave for Vadodara also known as Baroda. Baroda is situated on the banks of the river Vishwamitri and was once called Chandravati, after its ruler Raja Chandan, then Viravati, the abode of the brave. Baroda has a rich historical background that can be traced over 2000 years. This city is rich with museums, palaces and temples.

We check in to hotel after reaching Vadodara and leave for sightseeing in the city. We will start from Surya mandir and Surya Narayan garden that is considered the oldest temple in the city.

We return to the hotel in the evening for overnight and dinner.

Sightseeing in Vadodara

Sayaji Garden: This is the oldest and largest garden of Vadodara which is spread over 13 acres and includes Vadodara Museum, Art Gallery, the Sardar Patel Planetarium, a toy train and a Health Museum.

Laxmi Vilas Palace: This royal architectural site lays 6 kms from the hotel. It is a beautiful palace built in Indo-sarcanenic style of architecture and finished in marble, mosaic, fine stone, glass and wood.

Department of Archaeology: This place is of a popular tourist attraction and is famous for unique collection of Buddhist antiques.

Dakshinamoorty Temple: This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is made of aluminum and other alloys.

Palace Museum: The original paintings by Raja Ravi Verma along with European oil paintings and Greek, Roman sculptures are here in this museum.

Aurobindo Society: This international monument of Shri Aurobindo is open to the public for meditation.

Pavagadh: This place is around 40 kms from Vadodara, There is a temple made on the hills and famous for its scenic beauty. It has a ropeway to reach Kalika Mata's temple at the top.

Champaner: This is a historical town on the foothills of Pavagadh and has the ruins of ancient Mosques.

Day 5 -Vadodara – Surat (150km/2 h)

We leave early morning and drive for Surat, in route we visit the ruins of Champaner and then continue driving. Surat waspreviously known as Suryapur, is a well-developed commercial city in Gujarat and proudly boasts as the cleanest city in India. Located on the banks of Tapti River this city is largely recognized for its textile and diamond businesses.

Places to visit in Surat

Nau Saiyid Mosque: The Nau Saiyid Mosque (mosque of Nine Saiyids) is situated on the west banks of the Gopi Lake.

Mirza Sami Mosque: The Mirza Sami Mosque was built by the Khudawanad Khan who also made the Surat castle
 

Dandi: Dandi is the main place for the Gandhi's Salt March in 1930, this place has a serene beach and monuments related to Mahatma Gandhi.

Castle: Surat castle was built in 1546 alongside the Tapti Bridge it provides good views of the city and surrounding countryside from the pavilions.

Colonial Tombs: These tombs date from the 15th to the 18th centuries and nicely made and designed.

British Factory: The British Factory House, combined English and Hindu styles and had stained glass windows with carved wooden supports. This place looks beautiful in design and style.

Navsari: Situated 29 kms from Surat. Navsari is the headquarters of the Parsi community since 1142.

Dumas: Dumas is famous for the health resort that is situated in the south east of Surat city. Tourists can savor the scenic beauty of the Arabian Sea from Dumas as it has a clean and beautiful beach.

Day 6 – Surat – Ahmedabad (264km/4h)

Today after local sightseeing in Surat we will leave for Ahmedabad after lunch where you’ll be dropped at Railway station/Airport and the trip will end.
