How to reach Leh

By Air:How to Reach Leh - Airline services (Indian Airlines and Jet Airway)operate regular scheduled flights to Leh from Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu and Srinagar. From Jammu there are two flights in week and from Srinagar one in a week.

By Road:Delhi to Leh Ladakh distance is 1047 Kms. Delhi roadways also have regular bus services to Jammu and Manali from where you have to change the bus for Leh.

Best time to visit The best time to visit Ladakh is from June until September, the region’s summer season. At this time, Ladakh is an unparalleled paradise, with clear, stunning views and warm and sunny weather – the average temperature range during the day is about 20–30°C. Keen trekkers usually head to Ladakh during July and August, when the Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh highways are open to vehicles.

Day 01: Arrival at Leh

You’ll start your monastery tour of Leh Ladakh as you’ll arrive in Lehwhere upon reaching our representative will pick you at the airport and transfer to hotel. The day will be free for excursion and leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Leh Sightseeing

After your breakfast you’ll be accompanied with our English speaking guide who’ll take you for an excursion to famous monasteries of this area. Enjoy early morning praying ceremony at Thiksey monastery. Proceed to Hemis monastery, one of the most famous monasteries of the Ladakh region. While returning back, visit to famous Shey Palace. Evening is free to explore Leh market on your own. Enjoy Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 03: Leh sightseeing

In morning after breakfast the guide shall pick you and take you for a half day tour to Spituk and Phyang monasteriesm later In afternoon sightseeing shall continue with a visit to see famous Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Shankar Gompa and Leh Bazaar. Return and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Leh - Uletokpo

Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Uletokpo and enjoy an en-route visit to Basgo Palace, Liker and Alchi monasteries while stopping by the village and exploring the and later proceed to Uletokpo. Enjoy Overnight stay in camp.

Day 05: Uletokpo – Lamayuru - Leh

After breakfast, check-out from the camp and move to Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest monasteries founded in 10th century. In afternoon we’ll drive back to Leh where upon arrival you’ll be transferred to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 06: Leh

Today you’ll be taken for a visit to Stok Palace. On the way back to hotel we’ll visit the Choglamsar village that is a Tibetan refugee camp famous for Tibetan Culture, History and Buddhism. In afternoon day is free for leisure and sightseeing on your own.

Later return to Leh for overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: Departure

Today, check-out from the hotel and take transfer to airport to board return flight via Delhi.

Fairs and festivals

Hemis Festival in Ladakh: Hemis is the biggest and most famous of the monastic festivals of Ladakh

Dosmoche, the festival of the scapegoat, is celebrated with fervor at Leh. Falling in the second half of February, Dosmoche is one of two New Year festivals.

Losar -this spectacular festival celebrates the Ladakhi/Tibetan new year. Festivities last for 2 weeks.

Sindhu Darshan Festivalis a celebration of river Sindhu, also known as the Indus. People travel for a Darshan and Puja of the River Sindhu (Indus) which originates from the Mansarovar in Tibet.

Harvest festival usually starts from 1st September and lasts till September 15th. It is a colourful celebration of the rich,cultural diversity of Ladakh's people.
