When to visit Holy land

Celebrate Christmas at Holy land:
Christians celebrate Jesus’ birthday on Christmas. The dates can differ – December 25th for Catholics and and Protestants; most Orthodox denominations on January 6th; and Armenian Orthodox on January 19th.

Local Greek Orthodox Holidays at Holy land:
The Greek Orthodox have particular traditions which they celebrate near Bethlehem. On May 5-6, the Greek Orthodox hold the Feast of Saint George (al-Khadr) festival, during which time the locals trek to baptize newborns and sacrifice sheep around the nearby Monastery of St. George. In the town of al-Khader. Another local Greek Orthodox holiday is the Feast of St. Elijah, commemorated by a foot march to the Mar Elias Monastery, north of Bethlehem.

Day 1 Reaching Amman: Mount Nebo (B/L/D)
Leave for Amman from Mumbai/Dubai/Manila/Seol/Tokyo airports where upon reaching proceed to hotel for Check in. After lunch proceed to visit Mount Nebo. The trip south of Amman along the 5,000 years old King’s Highway is one of the most memorable journeys in the Holy Land, passing through a string of ancient sites of Jordan, the memorial of Moses, and the presumed site of the prophet's death and burial place. From a platform in front of the church one can enjoy a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Return to Hotel. Dinner, Overnight stay at Amman.
DAY 2 Amman- Nazareth-Cana
After Breakfast, Check-out hotel and proceed to Sheik Hussain bridge to cross the border after Completing the customs & emigration formalities. After entering into Israel visit Nazareth the boyhood town of Jesus and home of Mary and Joseph and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation built over the grotto where Archangel Gabriel appeared to announce that she would bear a son, Jesus. We also stop by Joseph's workshop. Then Visit Cana where Jesus performed his first Miracle, changing water into wine at the wedding feast. Check-in hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay at Nazareth.

Day 3 Sea of Galilee – Capernaum– Jordan River– Nazareth – Jerusalem
Check-out Hotel after breakfast, from here you’ll be driven to Mount Tabor. Here you get to visit Capernaum. This place served as the centre of Jesus' ministry after he left Nazareth. Next stop is at Tabgha - the Church of the Multiplication of the Five Loaves and Two Fishes and the expressive church of the Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. Later we drive through Galilee and later you’ll leave for a ride in a replica of a Galilean fishing boat later you visit St. Peter's house the place where Jesus bestowed St. Peter with his authority. This is believed to be the place where Jesus dined with his disciples, the flat rock known as Mensa Christy, Chris's table to commemorate this event. From here visit Yardenit on the Jordan River that is the traditional Baptismal site followed by Jericho where we stop and view Qarantal, the traditional Mount of Temptation and Sycamore Tree. It is also the place where Jesus stopped on the way to Jerusalem, on the Eve of the Passover and where Jesus cured the blind man during his stay at Zachaeus house. Proceed to Bethlehem. Day 4 Old City Of Jerusalem – Golgotha – Wailing Wall– Ein Karem
After breakfast proceed to the pools of Beit Hasda, where Jesus held the crippled man. And from there we take the Via Dolorosa (Way of Grief), traditionally accepted as the last route trodden by Jesus. Follow the 14 Stations of the Cross to Golgotha, the place where Jesus was crucified marking significant events along the route. You will see the Pilate's Judgments Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation where according to tradition, the Roman soldiers scourged Jesus and placed a crown of thorns on His head the Ecce Homo Arch and the Convent of the Sisters of Zion.

We continue the sightseeing to Cenacle – Last Supper Room, the tomb of King David and followed by Jewish quarter to the Wailing Wall that is considered the holiest place for the Jewish religion. Later visit EinKarem the city of Judah and Birthplace of John the Baptist. Proceed to Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. From here you proceed to Bethania the Town of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Visit Lazarus’s Tomb. Back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Jerusalem / Bethlehem.
Day 5 Mount of Olives – Gethsemane - Bethlehem
After breakfast leave for today’s sightseeing and proceed to Mount of Olives, this place gives a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Here visit sanctuaries of Pater Nester Ascension where you can walk along the Palm Sunday road down to the chapel of Dorminous Flevit where Jesus wept over eminent destruction of Jerusalem and Garden of Gethsemani. Visit the Basilica of agony and Tomb of St. Mary. We also will visit the Church of St. Peter of Gallicantu and then visit the traditional house of high priest, Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned. Then proceed to Bethlehem to visit the shepherd’s field, which is located in the Judah province. It was here that the Angel announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds of Bethlehem during the reign of King Herod. Also, here David tended his flocks until he was anointed King of Israel. We then visit the Church of Nativity - the birthplace of Jesus and the City of David, Manager Square; Crusaders Cloister Grotto of St. Jerome. Then we visit Milk Grotto. Dinner and overnight stay at Jerusalem / Bethlehem.
Day 6 Jerusalem – Tel Aviv – India
Check out from the hotel and leave for Tel Aviv. This place is at a distance of about 70 kms. Here upon reaching get transferred to the airport for your returning flight to India.

Day 1:
After crossing the King Hussein Bridge or Airport, proceed to Jericho to visit the Mount of Temptation and Elisha's Fountain In the afternoon, proceed to Bisan to visit the Roman theatre and Byzantine Church, continue to Tiberius for overnight.
Day 2:
After breakfast, drive along the western shores of the sea of Galilee towards the mount of Beatitudes, on the way visit Tabgha and the church of the Loaves and Fishes. Continue on to Capernaum. In the afternoon leave to Cana of Galilee, then to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation and the home of the holy family and Mary's Well. Continue to Jerusalem for overnight.
Day 3:
Full day tour of the old city of Jerusalem. Start at the Western Wall area.Then up to Al-aqsa Mosque. Visit the Golden dome of the Rock and the mosque of Al-aqsa. Then through the Lion's Gate (St. Stephen's Gate) to the Church of St. Anne.Then proceed through the Via Dolorosa and the Exotic Arab Bazzars to the church of the Holy Sepulchre In the afternoon, take the short drive from Jerusalem to Manger Square in Bethlehem. Visit the church of the Nativity venerating Christ's Birthplace. Visit also the Shepherds' field.
Day 4:
After Breakfast, visit Mount Zion and the Dormition abbey, Room of the Last Supper and St. Peter in Gallicantu and King David's Tomb. Continue to Mount of Olives, Stopping at the top to get a beautiful panoramic view of the old city of Jerusalem. On to the Church of Peter Noster and the Dome of Ascension, then the church of all nations at the Garden of Gethsemany visit also the tomb of Mary.
Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 5:
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Dead Sea. Visit the Mountain Fortress of Massada. Continue on the Dead Sea for a swim and some relaxation time beside its unique warm water. On the way back to Jerusalem visit Qumran the site where (The Dead Sea Scrolls) were discovered.
Day 6: After breakfast, depart Jerusalem for the King Hussein Bridge or Ben Gurion Airport.

Day - 5 Wednesday: Jericho – Half Day

Leave for Amman from Mumbai/Dubai/Manila/Seol/Tokyo airports where upon reaching proceed to hotel for Check in. After lunch proceed to visit Mount Nebo. Day 3 Sea of Galilee – Capernaum– Jordan River– Nazareth – Jerusalem
Check-out Hotel after breakfast, from here you’ll be driven to Mount Tabor. Here you get to visit Capernaum. This place served as the centre of Jesus' ministry after he left Nazareth. Next stop is at Tabgha - the Church of the Multiplication of the Five Loaves and Two Fishes and the expressive church of the Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. Later we drive through Galilee and later you’ll leave for a ride in a replica of a Galilean fishing boat later you visit St. Peter's house the place where Jesus bestowed St. Peter with his authority. This is believed to be the place where Jesus dined with his disciples, the flat rock known as Mensa Christy, Chris's table to commemorate this event. From here visit Yardenit on the Jordan River that is the traditional Baptismal site followed by Jericho where we stop and view Qarantal, the traditional Mount of Temptation and Sycamore Tree. Day 4 Old City Of Jerusalem – Golgotha – Wailing Wall– Ein Karem
After breakfast proceed to the pools of Beit Hasda, where Jesus held the crippled man. And from there we take the Via Dolorosa (Way of Grief), traditionally accepted as the last route trodden by Jesus. Follow the 14 Stations of the Cross to Golgotha, the place where Jesus was crucified marking significant events along the route. You will see the Pilate's Judgments Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation where according to tradition, the Roman soldiers scourged Jesus and placed a crown of thorns on His head the Ecce Homo Arch and the Convent of the Sisters of Zion.

We continue the sightseeing to Cenacle – Last Supper Room, the tomb of King David and followed by Jewish quarter to the Wailing Wall that is considered the holiest place for the Jewish religion. Later visit EinKarem the city of Judah and Birthplace of John the Baptist. Proceed to Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. From here you proceed to Bethania the Town of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Day 5 Mount of Olives – Gethsemane - Bethlehem
After breakfast leave for today’s sightseeing and proceed to Mount of Olives, this place gives a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Here visit sanctuaries of Pater Nester Ascension where you can walk along the Palm Sunday road down to the chapel of Dorminous Flevit where Jesus wept over eminent destruction of Jerusalem and Garden of Gethsemani. Visit the Basilica of agony and Tomb of St. Mary. We also will visit the Church of St. Peter of Gallicantu and then visit the traditional house of high priest, Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned. Then proceed to Bethlehem to visit the shepherd’s field, which is located in the Judah province. It was here that the Angel announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds of Bethlehem during the reign of King Herod. Also, here David tended his flocks until he was anointed King of Israel. We then visit the Church of Nativity - the birthplace of Jesus and the City of David, Manager Square; Crusaders Cloister Grotto of St. Jerome. Then we visit Milk Grotto. Dinner and overnight stay at Jerusalem / Bethlehem.
Day 6 Jerusalem – Tel Aviv – India/Manila/Korea/Japan/Dubai
Check out from the hotel and leave for Tel Aviv. This place is at a distance of about 70 kms. Here upon reaching get transferred to the airport for your returning flight to India.
