By Air: Jolly Grant Airport is located at a distance of 22 kilometers from the city centre. Flights from Delhi connect to Dehradun. Delhi, located 235 km from Dehradun connects to most major cities in the country and around the world by air.
By Train: Dehradun is connected by regular train services to cities Delhi, Lucknow, Allahabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ujjain, Chennai and Varanasi. The Dehradun Railway Station is located 1-2 kilometers away from the city centre and should take you only ten minutes, depending on traffic. Dehradun is connected to the rest of the country by trains such as the Shatabdi Express, Jan Shatabdi Express, Dehradun AC Express, Doon Express, Bandra Express and the Amritsar-Dehradun Express among others.

Winter (November - March)

Sahastradhara
Sahastradhara is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Uttarakhand placed in Dehradun. It is situated at about 11 km from the city of Dehradun. Sahastradhara meaning 'thousand fold spring' is popular for its ecstatic beauty and therapeutic value since its water contains Sulphur. The place is beautiful, where water drips from limestone stalactites, making the water sulphur rich and thus is also known as sulphur springs. The water is cool and sweet, and the area is a warehouse of excellent beauty by caves, waterfalls and steppe farming by locals.
Robber's Cave
Robber's cave is also known as Gucchipani. Robber's cave is basically in the form of a cave with water flowing from the middle of it. One can spot a 10m high waterfall after walking through the stream of the river. Only after completing a trek of about 1 km passing through the Anarwala village can one reach the destination. Malsi Deer Park

Zonal Museum
The Zonal Museum was founded in the year 1971 situated on Haridwar Road. The museum is popular for its collection of artifacts relating to the origin, development and sustenance of the mankind on earth, and stands witness to the ancient living conditions and customs of its people. Zonal Museum opens for the public from 10 am to 5 pm except on holidays, second Saturdays and Sundays.
Tapkeshwar Temple
Tapkeshwar Temple is a must visit place for religious buffs out there. Temple is located on the Garhi Cantonment Road, approximately 7.5 km. from Dehradun Railway station. The temple is dedicated to lord shiva and is built on a natural cave. The temple is basically situated on the bank of a river which makes the entire spot even more beautiful and holy. Tapovan
Tapovan is a holy place which is located at a distance of 5 km from the Dehradun city. It is situated on the bank of the river Ganga. Combining three sanctuaries, namely Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji - Rajaji National Park is spread over the Pauri Garwal, Dehradun and Saharanpur districts of Uttarakhand. Rajaji National Park of India spreads over an area of 820.42 sq km and is open to visitors only from Mid-November to Mid-June. There are also several animals in the Park like the Tiger, Leopard, Himalayan Bear, Cheetah, hog deer, barking deer, Leopard Cat, Civets, Himalayan Yellow-Throated Marten, Sloth Bears, Pythons, King Cobra, Common Krait, Indian Cobra and the Monitor Lizard, Asian Elephant and many more.

Kempty Falls

Peak, Nag Tibba is the highest peak of the Nag Tibba range with an altitude of 9915m and is said to serve as a home to Nag Devta.
