Krishna Pushkaram: This is one of the major festivals celebrated in Vijayawada on the banks of river Godavari, Krishna and Pennar in Andhra Pradesh

St. Mary’s Church annual festival: A grand annual Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is held every year in Vijayawada at this church.

Annavaram: This place is famour for many festivals like Kalyanam in May, Devi Navratri in September, the Swayamvara Vardhanti of Sraavana Suddha Ekadashi Day, Srirama Kalyana, Kanakadurga Yatra, Prabha Utsavam, Teppa Utsavam and Jalatoranam.

9 day trip Itinerary for Costal Andhra Tour Package

Day 1 – Hyderabad – Vijayawada (282km/4 hours)

Our representatives will pick you up from Hyderabad Railway Station/Airport/Hotel and will transfer you to the pickup point from where we will drive for Vijayawada. Upon reaching Vijayawada you’ll be transferred to the hotel after which you’ll be free for rest of the day for local sightseeing depending on time. Overnight stay and dinner will be arranged in hotel.

Places of visit in Vijayawada

• St.Mary's Church, Gundala: The church is situated on a hillock on the eastern side of the city.
• Lakshmi Narasimha Temple: Located in Mangalagiri 13 km away from the town this temple is famous for the renowned temple Lakshmi Narasimha, one of the nine incarnations of Vishnu.
• Hazrat Bal Mosque: A holy relic of the Prophet Mohammed is kept here and displayed for public viewing once a year.
• Prakasam Barrage: A panoramic lake is created on this barrage built across the river the river Krishna.
• Kondapalli Fort: This 7^th century fort is located 16 Km from Vijayawada. It is a popular picnic spot among the locales.

Day 2: Vijayawada – Rajahmundry via Bhavani islands, Manginapudi Beach and Undavalli Caves (159 km/2.40 hr)

We leave from hotel after breakfast and move to Undavalli Caves. These caves are located 8kms from Vijayawada and is said to be carved in the 7th century A.D. This double storied caved structure was used as a rest house by Buddhist monks.

After here we travel to Manginapudi Beach and spend rest of the day here exploring the sea shore. Manginapudi Beach is characterized by its shallow waters sea shore. A park on the Manginapudi Beach equipped with a fountain and lighting wonders is another additional feature of the place.

Our final stop will be Bhavani Islands. This is a river island enriched with mangroves, gardens, pristine woodlands and beautiful water bodies. Watersports, fishing and boating are conducted here for visitors.

Overnight and dinner in Rajahmundry.

Day 3 - Rajahmundry – Bhadrachalam boating (187 km approx.)

We leave early morning for Pattiseema revu that is 35 km away from Rajahmundry where we will board the boat and the breakfast will be arranged. The Sun rise is gorgeous to see from river Godavari at Rajahmundry. At Pattiseema a small temple dedicated to Sri Uma Maha Nandiswara swamy is located on top of a small hill.

The second stop will be Gonduru at one hour distance from Pattiseema. Goddess Gandi Poshamma temple can be seen here.

The boat will move towards Bhadrachalam covering Posammagandi, Polavaram, Devipatnam, Papi Hills (Papi Kondalu) and Perantapalli Village. We will take a short stop at Papi Hills where the journey will continue through thick forest surrounded by hills on both sides.

Lunch will be provided on the boat. Upon reaching Perantapalli our journey will continue on a small boat upto Koida. We will drive for Bhadrachalam for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 4- Bhadrachalam – Dwaraka Tirumala – Rajahmundry (230 km/3.5 hrs)

We leave from hotel early morning and Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple from where we proceed for Parnasala that is 40 km away from Bhadrachalam. Parnasala is the place where it is believed that events of Ramayana took place. According to the legend Lord Rama spent some time in these forests during his exile from Ayodhya. Parnasala has small huts or ‘kutir’ in which lord Rama lived in with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman.

From here we will return to Bhadrachalam and check out from hotel and drive for Dwaraka Tirumala, this place is popular for a temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. There are a lot of temples in the entire campus making this place a holy visit.

We return to Rajahmundry for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 05- Rajahmundry – Vizag via Annavaram (200 km)

We will check out from hotel and proceed to Vizag. In route we will offer prayers at Satyanaraya Swamy Temple at Annavaram. This is a temple located in a small village on way to Vizag on banks of Pampa river.

Upon reaching Vizag we will check in the hotel and later proceed to Kailasagiri that is on the top of the hills that can be reached by a ropeway that offers beautiful panoramic views of the Vizag city.

We will leave Kailasagiri after spending some time and move for Submarine Museum and RK Beach and then return to hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 6 – Vizag – Araku rail tour and return (132 kms return)

We start early morning for Araku rail tour, Vizag to Araku is 132 kms that covers 52 tunnels along with many bridges and hills on the both sides on the way. Here we will visit the larges cave settlement in the country called Borra Caves and spend rest of the day at Araku Valley. We will return to Vizag for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 7 Vizag – Nellore (620 km/9hr)

We check out from hotel in Vizag and drive for Nellore. A drive to Nellore consumes an entire day so upon reaching our destination we go straight to the hotel for check in and dinner.

Day 8 Sightseeing Nellore

We leave the hotel after breakfast and visit Koduru beach that is 18 kms away from Nellore, Velangani Mata Church on the shore is also famous here.

From here we move to Mypadu beach and spend some time here. It is a beautiful untouched beach is situated 25 KM away from Nellore.
