Tour Itinerary
Day01:- Arrive Chennai
Arrive Chennai and get transferred to the hotel
Day02:- Chennai to Tirupati
One day Tirupati darshn and then move to Kanchi puram and Mahabalipurm
Day03
After taking a full night rest we move for a full day trip of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, while checking out in the hotel at 1200hours at the same time. Kanchipuram is 64 kilometres away from Chennai and is the ancient capital of Pallavas. Kanchipuram is the land of 1000 temples and still it has 124 shrines. The first temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva was built in 7th and 8th century and is famous for paintings upon the wall. Apart from this, Temples of Sri Kamakshi, Ekambaswara, Varadarajaswamy and Kailasanatha are also famous. Kanchipuram is renowned for silk and see all the temples along with seven pagodas in the trip. Discover an interesting group of ancient rock temples that depict Dravidian style of Architecture. Evening transfer to the railway station to board the Trichy night train. Night on board.
Day04:- Trichy
Arrival at Trichy in the morning and get transferred to hotel. Afternoon-a tour of Trichy which was the citadel of Chola dynasty in the medieval times. The place in the 18th century witnessed a Carnatic war which was fought between English and the French. Visit Lord Robert Clive’s house, Danish Church. The two places are chief attractions of Trichy. See Rock-Fort that is the main landmark of Trichy. Climb the 434 steps to reach ancient temples of Ganapati and further climb for Shiva Temple. Overnight Trichy.
Day05:- Trichy to Tanjore
Drive towards Tanjore and in the afternoon visit Chola Temple, capped by monolithic cupola in Brihadeshwara. See the Tanjore Bronzes, and handicrafts. Overnight Tanjore.
Day06:- Tanjore to Madurai
Morning a drive to Madurai while visiting Tanjore in between. Visit Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara at Tanjore which is capped with monolithic cupola made with single granite block having the weight of 80 tons, taken to the top with the help of 6kms long ramp. Tanjore handicrafts and bronzes make it utterly famous. Overnight Madurai
Day-07Madurai
Early morning after breakfast visit Meenakshi Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva’s consort and has a towering gopurams that arises high above the ground. Visit Tirumala Nayak Palace, a gracious building constructed in Indo saracenic style, renowned for Stucco work on the arches and domes. See Alagar Hills along with Tirupara Kundan Rock Temple. Afternoon remain free and stay overnight in Madurai.
Food – South Indian cuisines and delicacies in the breakfast and you can have your lunch in any popular restaurant or maybe at your hotel.
