Chennai Pilgrimage: Itinerary

Day 01: Arrived at Chennai airport or railway station

After arrival at Chennai airport or railway station and meet with our representative and they will meet you with warm welcome and transfer to hotel. After freshen up and you may have lunch at same hotel later you will have rest for some hour, in the evening you will visit some famous temples to visit which includes Vadapalani murugan temple,Kapaleeshwar Temple, Kalikambal Temple. Overnight stay with dinner at Chennai hotel.

Kalikambal Temple: The Kalikambal Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Kalikambal (Kamakshi) and Lord Kamateswarar The temple is located on Thambu Chetty Street, a prominent financial street running parallel to Rajaji Salai.HistoryThe temple was originally located closer to the sea shore and was relocated to the current site at 1640 AD It is believed that a fierce form of Goddess was held in worship earlier and that this form was replaced with the shanta swaroopa (calm posture) form of Goddess Kamakshi

After breakfast you will visit famous temples of Chennai which includes Shirdi sai baba temple, Sri parthasarathy swamy temple, Our lady of Lourdes shrine and Sri guru nanak satsangh sabh, after darshan you will visit Sangeetha Veg Restaurant for lunch later you will visit kolavizhi amman temple, Iskcon (Hare Rama Hare Krishna) Temple, in the evening back to hotel. Overnight stay with dinner 

Sri parthasarathy swamy temple: The Parthasarathy Temple is an 8th-century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to the god Krishna The temple is one of the oldest structures in Chenna There are shrines for VedavalliThayar, Ranganatha, Rama, Gajendra Varadharaja Swamy, Narasimha, Andal, Anjaneya, Alvars, Ramanuja, Swami Manavala Mamunigal and Vedanthachariar. The temple subscribes to Vaikhanasa agama and follows Thenkalai tradition. The Parthasarathy Temple of Chennai is an ancient temple built in the Dravidian style of architecture

Shirdi sai baba temple: Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a Hindu temple located in the neighbourhood of Mylapore in Chennai, India. It is dedicated to the Indian saint Sai Baba of Shirdi. This is considered the most trusted temple in India. his temple was built to commemorate the memory of Shirdi Sai Baba. This Saint born in Shirdi as a Hindu was brought by a muslim Fakir (Devotee) and became an exponent of Sufism. He too performed “Sithu” (Miracles) like his mentor. Part of the jothi (Flame) lit by him in Shirdi is here as well. On Sundays Agni Pooja is performed.

Our lady of Lourdes shrine: This is the first shrine in India dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes in the year 1897, in remembrance of her apparition in Lourdes

Cove long Beach: Covelong Beach, sited on the way to Mahabalipuram, has transmogrified into an exclusive, classy beach resort. It is located on the Coromandel Coast of Bay of Bengal, where the shining sun, calm sea and shimmering sand form a unique aura of cheerfulness and magnetism. The Covelong Beach (also known as Kovalam Beach) despite being located 40 kilometres away from the main city of Chennai,  it attracts several thousand visitors every year.

Fort St. George: A delight for history buffs, this fort constructed during the British Rule, encloses historic monuments of St. Mary’s church and St. George museum.

San Thome Church: the sparkling white structure of San Thome stands on the tomb of St Thomas. This structure, which is a reminder of the colonial past of the city, has stained glass windows and a statue of St Thomas in a sitting posture.

Muttukadu: Ashta Lakshmi Temple is one of the famous temples in Chennai. The Ashta Lakshmi Temple of Chennai, situated towards the southern end of Elliot’s Beach, is one of the two Ashta Lakshmi temples in India, the other being in Hyderabad. There are also minor shrines dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan, Lord Ganapathi and Lord Hanuman within the chief temple complex.
