Day 1: Arrive at Chandigarh and Enjoy Local Sightseeing
Welcomes to Chandigarh, the first destination of your Chandigarh to Shimla tour package. On arriving at the airport, head straight to the accommodation. Check-in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure.

Day 2: Explore Chandigarh
Post breakfast, head out to explore the major attractions in Chandigarh. On day 2 of your Chandigarh to Shimla tour package, you will visit Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake and Rose Garden.
Begin the day by visiting the Asia’s largest botanical garden, Rose Garden. This colourful garden showcases around 1,600 species of flora and around 50,000 rose bushes under one roof.
Next visit the popular sightseeing place in Chandigarh, Rock Garden. It is a beautiful garden designed as an open-air exhibition hall by Nek Chand, a former Road Inspector in Chandigarh. It is an epitome of innovation and creativity. It features arts and sculptures completely made out of industrial and urban waste.
Later in the evening, visit the Sukhna Lake that is set in the foothills of Shivalik ranges. It is a popular picnic spot in Chandigarh. Day 3: Chandigarh to Shimla
In the morning check out from the hotel after having a good breakfast and leave for the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Shimla. Chandigarh to Shimla is 113 km. and takes around 4.5 hours to reach. En route, you will get a chance to visit a very interesting place in Chandigarh i.e. Pinjore Garden.
Pinjore Garden is located on the Ambala - Shimla highway, just 22 km. away from Chandigarh. It is a huge garden sprawling over 100 acres of area. The garden is beautifully decorated with cypress, palm trees and water fountains making it look absolutely stunning. You can also check out the zoo and palace housed in the garden.
Continue your drive to Shimla, the most beautiful hill station in Asia. On reaching the hotel in Shimla, complete your check-in formalities and take some rest.
Later in the evening, visit Mall road to explore the famous shopping market of Shimla. Here you will find wooden artefacts and woollens. Day 4: Explore Shimla
In the morning have a heavy breakfast and leave for Shimla sightseeing.
Shimla is encircled with stunning and mesmerising waterfalls and one of them is Chadwick Falls. It is an ideal place to catch the sunrise. The waterfall is perched at a height of 1500 meters and is surrounded by mist-covered hills and lush forest. There are many religious sites around the falls which you can visit while you are here.
Later head to The Himalayan Aviary. It is an ideal place for nature and wildlife lovers in Shimla. Here you can spot a rare variety of Himalayan birds along with abundant flora and fauna.
Later visit the second oldest Roman Catholic shrine in North India, the Christ Church. Watch out the exquisite interiors and Neo-Gothic style of architecture of the Church.
If you have a religious inclination, a visit to the Jakhu temple in Jakhu hills is a must on your Shimla tour. The temple is located 2,500 meters atop the hill and is surrounded by gorgeous deodar trees. On reaching, you will be stunned to see the giant 108-feet tall Hanuman statue.
Later in the evening, return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5: Day Excursion to Kufri and Fagu

How to Reach Shimla from Chandigarh
By Flight: The nearest airport to Shimla is situated at Jubbarhatti, 22 kms from Shimla has regular flights from Delhi but due to bad weather conditions, flights may be irregular. Alternatively better option is to reach Chandigarh Airport at a distance of 120 Kms away, from Chandigarh , you can board Holiday Travel Taxi to reach Shimla in approx 2.5-3 hours.
By Toy Train from Kalka: From Kalka, the Narrow-Gauge Kalka-Shimla Unesco - Heritage Toy Train connects to Shimla. The total distance covered is 96 kms from Kalka to Shimla with 107 Tunnels & 864 Bridges. The Shimla toy train starts Journey at 656 meters (2,152 ft) above sea level in Kalka and reaches Shimla at an altitude of 2,076 meters.
The route offers a panoramic feast of the picturesque Himalayas from the Shivalik foot hills at Kalka to several important points such as Dharampur, Solan, Kandaghat, Taradevi, Barog, Salogra, Summerhill and Shimla. The Railway has 919 curves, the sharpest being 48 degrees. The journey takes about five-and-a-half hours to reach Shimla.
By Train: Indian Railways connects up-to Kalka ( about 100kms from shimla) By broad-gauge line. The Kalka station is connected to most major cities in India, including Delhi and Calcutta.
