Day 1: Chandigarh local sightseeing
After arrive in Chandigarh our representative will pick you from airport / railway station and transferred to hotel. Check into hotel and after lunch you have sufficient time for visit local sightseeing of Chandigarh which includes Sukhna Lake, rose garden and Capitol Complex. Overnight stay at hotel and delicious dinner with all possible conveniences.
Capitol Complex: Chandigarh Capitol Complex, located in the sector-1 of Chandigarh city in India. it is a government compound designed by the architect Le Corbusier and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is spread over an area of around 100 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh's architecture. Chandigarh’s Capitol Complex was in July 2016 declared by UNESCO as World Heritage at the 40th session of World Heritage.
Rose garden: This beautiful garden was set up in 1967 with the support of Chandigarh's first Chief Commissioner, late Dr M S Randhawa. Chandigarh rose garden contains more than 17,000 plants. There are nearly 1,600 varieties of roses over there. It is a spacious garden covering an area of 27 acres. Dr. Zakir rose garden not just consists of the gorgeous roses, but also trees of medicinal value. Some of the medicinal plants that can be spotted here are bel, bahera, harar, camphor and yellow gulmohar. Rose garden serves as the venue for hosting the annual festival of gardens, a major cultural event of the city.
Sukhna Lake: Sukhna Lake is the most popular tourist attraction of Chandigarh with the divine landscape. This beautiful lake is located the foothills of the majestic Shivalik range surrounded by lush greenery. It is Stretching across 3 km; this man-made lake was created in the year 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe stream flowing from the Shivalik hills. The lake is enclosed by a golf course on the south and the famous Rose Garden on its western end. The Sukhna Lake has the longest channel for rowing and yachting in Asia.
Day 02: Chandigarh - Dharamshala (Around 250Km/5-6hours)
In this fresh morning of the day after breakfast you will proceed to Dharamshala which is around 250km and take 5-6 hours to reach Dharamshala. In between stop for lunch at The Chief Restaurant (Nangal), then continue journey towards Dharmshala. Upon arrival check-into hotel and rest of the day free at your leisure. In the evening you may go for shopping or may go for a walk to nearby places of your hotel. Overnight stay and mouthwatering dinner.

Day 03: Dharmshala local sightseeing
After breakfast visit for local sightseeing of Dharamshala which include Tibetan monasteries, Bhagsunag, Dalai Lama temple, visit Cricket Stadium, War memorial, St. John Church etc. In between your visit have lunch in any nearby good restaurant. In evening came back to hotel and overnight stay with dinner in hotel.

Day 04: Mcleodganj -Triund (Height 2975m Distance 9 Km)
The trek goes through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar tress. First two Kilometer is a steep ascent but there is a gradual ascent after Gallu Devi Temple. The last 1 kilometer is again a steep ascent through the forest. Triund is a flat meadow on top of a ridge. From here panoramic view of Dhauladhar range on one side and Kangra valley on other is a memorable sight. Night stay at tents or private houses.

Day 05: Triund - Snowline (Height 3350m Distance 4 Km.) - Mcleodganj
On this day after breakfast trek covers 4 km one way distance along glacial moraines. Lake got situated at the snout of a small glacier is the base camp for the shepherds. The small glacier is called snow-line after that back to Mcleodganj. Overnight stay in Mcleodganj
Day 06: Mcleodganj - Chandigarh (Around 250 Km/5-6 hours)
After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Chandigarh which is around 250 km and take 4-5 hours to reach Chandigarh. In between you will have lunch at The Chief Restaurant, later proceed to Chandigarh. Our representative will drop you at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.

How to Reach Chandigarh
By road: Chandigarh has excellent road connectivity with other neighboring cities. Many direct buses are available from cities like Shimla, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala, Delhi, Kullu etc. The National Highway 1 connects Chandigarh with Delhi, which takes around 4 to 5 hours.
By Rail: Chandigarh Railway Station located about 8 km away from the city. Railway Station has several frequent trains plying from New Delhi. From the railway station, you can take buses, autos or taxis to reach any place of the city.
By air: Chandigarh Airport located around 12 km away from the city centre. Airport links the city with rest of the country by an extensive network of domestic flights. Regular flights from Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Srinagar and Ahmadabad are available for Chandigarh.

Triund Located about 10 kilometres from the bustling city of McLeodganj, it is a spectacular ridge with mighty Dhauladhar range and the most popular trekking trail in Dharamshala. Triund offers excellent panoramic views of the Dhauladhars along every bend of its trail. There are grassy meadows where the trek ends, the clouds descend to give you company and the view is absolutely spectacular.
Triund makes for an attractive trekking destination, with well-defined forest trails and breath-taking views of the entire Kangra valley. The view of the evening sky from Triund is a good enough reason to pitch a tent here for the night.

Triund Hill: Triund Hill is located at a height of about 2,842 meters above sea level and with a distance of about 9 kilometers from McLeodganj (located at height of 2,082 meters above sea level) and 17 kilometers from Dharamsala.
Tibetan Museum: Located near the Main Temple of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (Tsuglag Khang), Tibet Museum exhibit Tibetan history and ongoing movement through huge collection of photographs and documentaries.
Naddi View Point: Naddi is a small village in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The Village is very scenic and is just 3 or 4 kilometers away from Mcleod Ganj, the headquarters of the Tibetan government in Exile. There are several points like Sunset point, Eco point and View Point. The sunset point really does offer beautiful sunset views. From the View point one can see the whole of the Dhauladhar mountain ranges.
Nechung Monastery: Nechung Dorje Drayang Ling Monastery has an important place in Tibetan history as the seat of the State Oracle of Tibet.Nechung monastery in Tibet lies just below Drepungmonastery, four miles west of Lhasa, the country's capital. Nechung originally came to Tibet with a descendant of the Indian sage Dharmapala.
Dharamkot: Dharamkot is a beautiful hill station, situated on the crest of a hill, around 14 kms away from the main town of Dharamshala. This stunning spot provides panoramic views of the Kangra valley and the Dhauladhar ranges.
Kangra Art Museum: Museum is a treasure house of rich heritage of the valleys art and culture, located near Kotwali Bazaar at Dharmshala. Museum is still in infancy but now the collection is incresead to 1500 art object comprising miniature paintings, textiles, sculptures, jewellery, coins and objects of cultural anthropology.

Triund best time to visit
During The months of May-June and September-October the best time to visit this place as it is very pleasant here. It can get pretty chilly here in winters and the summer season is a great time to come here to escape the scorching heat of the cities. If you are looking to trek in snow, which is more difficult, but way prettier, then you can think of trekking in January-March is the best option.

By air: Dharamshala airport is well connected with daily flights from different parts of India. The nearest airport is at Gaggal, about 13 kilometres away from Dharamshala. Flights to Dharamshala operate with cheap rates during the off season.
By Train: The Pathankot railway station is the important railway station is located 85 kilometres from Dharamshala. The nearest station is Kangra, at a distance of 14 kilometres from Dharamshala, (Doesn’t have major train stops). One of the popular Dharamshala trains is Kangra Valley Rail Passenger which has stops in Kangra railway station.
By road: Most buses stop at the main bus terminal in Lower Dharamshala. State government and private buses offer daily services from various parts of India Dharamshala is well-connected to other parts of India by a road network.
By Cab: Dharamshala by road is the best option for travel. The advantage of travelling to Dharamshala by car is that the vehicle can be stopped anytime and anywhere as desired.
Best Time to Visit Dharamshala
Dharamsala can be visited throughout the year, but tourists mainly prefer to explore the beauty of this place in summers during the months of March to June and September to October.
Dharamshala Climate
Winter (October-March): The temperature in winters remains between 4 and 7 degrees Celsius. Snowfall begins from the end of December and continues until February.
Summer (April-June): The temperature in summers ranges between 20 and 35 degrees Celcius. The temperature begins to rise and snow begins to fade away in the month of April.
Monsoon (July-September): The temperature ranges from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius during monsoon. This season continues month of July to September and due to rain showers, it is not considered the best time to visit Dharamshala.
Camping at Triund
Now a days (latest as of 2013-2014), Accommodation is available in the Triund at many places on the high ridge along with sleeping bags and food. These accommodation include private tents, Ibex guest house perched on high altitude, Government rest house of Forest Department etc.
Problem with Guest house is that the same needs to be booked in advance and Government guest house does not accept Wilkins, they wait up to 5 PM in the evening, only then they allow welkins. There had been instances of peons admitting visitors based on even without booking. The best options is to stay in other accommodations for better service and hospitality.
Many trackers just walk in to the Triund and get adjusted at various accommodations in Triund. Average price for per night at Triund Accommodation including meals, sleeping bag and food.
