Day -1 - Bird-Watching, Boating & Angling

After Breakfast, Start your day with a Boat ride in pond dam, followed by Bird watching at Pong Lake, there are many towers from where you can watch exotic birds. You can indulge in Angling also, Actually Angling and Bird watching can go hand in hand. Spend full day in the leisure activities. 

Lunch can be arranged in Lunch at Campsite on a hilltop around a red-brick monument at Nandpur overlooking Pong Lake.

In the evening proceed on historic Temples and Monuments at Haripur-Guler, visit Organic Farm in Guler. 

Day -2 - Site Seeing Tour of Masroor, Tatwani Hot Springs, Jwalamukhi Temple

After Breakfast, we will proceed on a full day site seeing tour of Masroor Monolithic Rock-cut temples, Followed by a dip in Tatwani Hot springs and Devi Darshan tour at Kangra and Jwalamukhi.

Day - 3 - Kangra, Bagulamukhi, Dharamshala - Mcleodganj Tour - Full Day

After Breakfast, we will proceed on the Full Day tour of Dharamshala and Mcleodganj. We will cover attractions like Cricket Ground, Dalai Lama temple tour, Bhagsu nag, and Dal lake.

Day - 4 - Pong Dam Boat Ride, Bird watching, Lake Island Tours, and Late Check out

After Breakfast, we will proceed on the half Day Boat tour of Pong Dam Beautiful Islands, if you are lucky, you will also witness the submerged temples. Also it is great to see the Bird life from the centre of the pong dam lake. In the after noon head back to the hotel or Nature Camp

Wetland is connected by good road network. Dehra - Pathankot road on the left bank, Dehra- Jawali-Nurpur on the right bank. The lake is also connected with JoginderNagar–pathankot railway line . The nearest airport  to Pong dam wet land is at Gaggal at about 7 kms away.

The Pong reservoir, also known as the Maharana Pratap Sagar lake, in Himachal Pradesh, is one of India’s 25 international wetland sites nominated by the Ramsar Convention, for its rich waterfowl density. 

At its maximum level, the Pong lake stretches cross 314 sq. km and is a strategic birding site. Every year, a hundred thousand avian guests arrive at this wetland, including Bar-headed Geese, Common Pochards, Common Coots, Northern Pintails, Northern Shovellers, Common Teals, cormorants, shelducks, gulls etc.

The site offers open landscape with a great view of the Dhauladhar mountains and vast Pong lake, It was declared a bird sanctuary in 1983 and one of India’s 25 international Ramsar sites in 2002.

The reservoir is additionally one of the leading fish habitats, and forests around the Pong lake also provides vital habitat to a host of mammals including leopards, sambar, wild pigs, barking deer and oriental small-clawed otters.
