Day 01: Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri
On Arrival at Bhubaneshwar meet & transfer to Puri, en-route visit Dhauli (Budhist Stupa / Peace Pagoda), Pipli (the appliqué work village) and Konark Sun Temple (Famous as black Pagoda), then proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel.
In the evening visit Lord Jagannath Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed)/Relax on the golden beach of Puri.
Overnight stay at Puri.
Day 02: Puri – Bhubaneswar
After Breakfast drive to Bhubaneshwar on arrival transfer to hotel. Later proceed for local sightseeing, Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves (oldest rock cut caves; the caves are reminiscent of influence of Buddhism and Jainism in Orissa). City temples including Lingaraj, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar (Mukteswar temple, the ‘Gem of Orissa Architecture’), Rajarani temple. Botanical Garden.

Day 06: Deoghar – Bodhgaya (approx. 245 km)
Morning visit temple later after breakfast drive to Bodhgaya. Check into the hotel, Evening visit Mahabodhi Temple and other sites of Buddhist importance in Bodhgaya & back to hotel. Relax and stay overnight at hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 07: Bodhgaya – Varanasi (approx. 275 km)

Tribal Museum: It shows the tribal life of Orisha and has been created by Tribal craftsmen. It includes culture, cuisine, homes, objects and artefacts of tribal people in the state.
Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain Caves: Named after 2 hills, these caves are a unique combination of natural and artificial creation. Udaigiri has 18 caves and Khandagiri has 15 of them and it is believed that these caves were residences for Jain monks in ancient times. These caves are beautiful masterpieces from archaeological stand point.
Lingaraj: A temple of Lord Harihara ( Shiva ) is the biggest one amongst all temples in Bhubaneshwar. It has a terrace and a compound wall to protect it from external forces. It was built in 11th century A.D.
Parsurameswar: It was built in 650 A.D. It is also dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known because of the way it is preserved over centuries. It has old style architecture, a rare sight for tourists.
Mukteswar: This temple belongs to 10th century and has idol of Lord Shiva. It is one of the oldest in Odisha and is a subject matter of research. It reflects the developments in architecture with ornamental and stylized interiors.
Rajarani: Like most other temples, this one is also dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built in 11th century A.D. It has beautiful sculptures of couples as part of its architectural design. It is therefore known as love temple.
Nandankanan Zoo: It is spread over 400 acres and includes a botanical garden. It was opened in 1960. The meaning of Nandankanan is The Garden of Heavens. It has white tigers, Nilgiri Langur and many other endangered species. It also has Aquaria, Reptile Park and Orchid house.
Dhauli: It is a hill located near Daya river banks. It has edicts of Ashoka. Daya had become red after the Kalinga War fought here. It is a place where Ashoka realized that war had many ill effects and he put efforts to make Dhauli a peaceful place with Buddhist activities.
Hirapur: It is famous for its 64 Yogini or Mahamaya Temple. It has a powerful Shakti Peeth which cannot be blocked by any roof. It is a roofless temple. It has many other mysteries and stories.
Pipli: It is town known for its beautiful appliqué handicrafts. It basically includes stitching of coloured cloth with beautiful nature designs on bigger cloth pieces. It is a place where most tourists stop for shopping.
Raghurajpur: It is a small village but is a renowned place. It is famous for its Pattachitra painters. The village is also known for a unique art form which includes poetry on cloth, palm leaves or paper.
Jagannath Temple: It is a Hindu temple and when translated literally means ‘Lord of the Universe’. It opened in 1161. The deities inside are made up of wood ( Neem log ). It is a part of the famous Char Dham Yatra which is done by Hindus once in their lifetime.
It is important to note the famous Aarti details here:
- Dwarpitha and Mangal Aarati is done around 5 a.m. by 5 sevayats.
- Mailam is done at 6 a.m. It constitutes of ceremonies that are related to changing of deity clothes. Previous day flowers are removed.
- Abakash is done around 6:30 a.m. It is related to bath and brushing of teeth.
- Mailam is again performed at 6: 45 a.m.
- Sahanamela is done at 7 a.m. Pilgrims are allowed to enter inner sanctums without paying fees.
- Beshalagi is performed at 8 a.m. Deities are dressed up in gold and precious metals.
- Gopala Ballava Puja at 9 a.m. It is breakfast time for God. He is offered Bhog. It consists of sweet popcorn (Khai), Khualadus, Coconut sweets (Kora), Ripe banana, Curd, and chipped coconuts.
- Sakala Dhupa is done at 10 a.m. Puja is performed and Bhog is offered as morning food.
- Madhyanha is done between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. It is related to afternoon food offerings.
- Madhyanha Pahudha from 1 p.m. is observed for God to take rest.
- Sandhya Aarti & Sandhya Dhupa are observed from 7 p.m. onwards. It includes evening Aarti and evening Bhog.
- Khata Seja Lagi and Pahuda at 12:00 midnight is done as the last ritual. Deities are given Bhog and placed at rest so that they can retire for the day.
Sun Temple: It was built in the 13th century by King Narasimhadeva. Jagannath Temple is known as white pagoda and Sun temple is known as black pagoda. It is devoted to Lord Surya. It is of the shape of a chariot with large wheels and walls. It is a world heritage UNESCO site. The main reasons for its listing in UNESCO are the 13th century architecture and the history of diffusion of the cult of Surya from Kashmir to Eastern India.
Ramchandi Temple: It is on the banks of Kusabhadra River and is near Sun Temple. It is a Sakta Shrine. It is devoted to Goddess Ramchandi, the deity of Konark. It is more ancient than the famous Sun temple.
Chandrabhaga Beach: As per a popular legend Shamba, Krishna’s Son had worshipped Lord Surya at this river side and was cured of leper. This place is still believed to cure lepers.
Chilika Lake: It is a water lagoon and has many small islands. It has many boat trips at regular intervals during the day and tourists come here to see the migratory birds. It also has Irrawaddy Dolphins & Rajhans Island.

Day 01
Today you will land at the Bhubaneshwar airport where our tour guides will greet you and escort you to the hotel. After taking lunch and some rest we begin our eventful tour with a half day sight seeing. We will cover Tribal Museum, Khandagiri Caves & Udaigiri Jain Caves.
Day 02
We will begin our day with a filling Indian breakfast and proceed to see some of the most famous temples in the city. It includes Lingaraj, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar & Rajarani temple. We stop over for lunch and then continue our sight seeing. We dedicate the second half to Nandankanan Zoo visit.
Day 03
Today we have breakfast and check out from our hotels. We drive down to Puri. On the way there, we visit Dhauli, Hirapur, Pipli & Raghurajpur. On arrival at Puri, we check into our hotel and unwind a bit. We immediately proceed to see the highlight of the tour,’ Jagannath Temple’. We end the day with rest at the golden beach and some sumptuous dinner.
Day 04
It will be a long day with road journey from Puri to Konark and back. After breakfast we head to the Sun temple in Konark. We also check out Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach. We end the day with visit to Chilika Lake and boat cruise to visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins & Rajhans Island. We stay overnight at Puri.
Day 05
We have breakfast and check out from our hotel. We drive down to the Bhubaneshwar airport and begin our return journey by flight.

Day 01: Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri
On Arrival at Bhubaneshwar meet & transfer to Puri, en-route visit Dhauli (Budhist Stupa / Peace Pagoda), Pipli (the appliqué work village) and Konark Sun Temple (Famous as black Pagoda), then proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel.
In the evening visit Lord Jagannath Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed)/Relax on the golden beach of Puri.
Overnight stay at Puri.
Day 02: Puri – Bhubaneswar
After Breakfast drive to Bhubaneshwar on arrival transfer to hotel. Later proceed for local sightseeing, Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves (oldest rock cut caves; the caves are reminiscent of influence of Buddhism and Jainism in Orissa). City temples including Lingaraj, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar (Mukteswar temple, the ‘Gem of Orissa Architecture’), Rajarani temple. Botanical Garden.

Day 03: Puri – Bhubaneswar – Kolkata
After B/fast depart to Bhubaneswar airport /for Kolkata for onward Journey.

Day 04: Gangasagar Excursion (110 kms / 4 hrs.)
After early breakfast start for full day excursion to Gangasagar – An island in the confluence of River Ganga & Bay of Bengal & famous for Kapil Muni Ashram which is considered to be a great religious significance. Evening return back to Kolkata.

We will provide Ac vehicle for Kolkata to Ferry Ghat i.e. Lot No. 8 / Harwood Point (90 Km.) & back to Kolkata. After reaching Lot No. 8 you have to take the ferry to cross the Muriganga River for Kachuberia. And take private car for Sagar Island from Kachuberia. Ferry cost & local vehicle cost from Kachuberia to Sagar Island is included.
Day 05: Baidyanath Dham - Kolkata to Jasidih Junction by train – Deoghar
Morning After breakfast check out from hotel later Kalighat temple and shopping mall then transfer to the Railway Station to connect the train to Jasidih Junction. On arrival transfer to hotel.

Day 06: Deoghar – Bodhgaya (approx. 245 km)
Morning visit temple later after breakfast drive to Bodhgaya. Check into the hotel, Evening visit Mahabodhi Temple and other sites of Buddhist importance in Bodhgaya & back to hotel. Relax and stay overnight at hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 07: Bodhgaya – Varanasi (approx. 275 km)
Morning visit temple later after breakfast drive to Varanasi. Arrive at Varanasi and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon proceed on a half day temple tour of Varanasi visiting Bharat Mata (Mother India) Mandir, Durga, Tulsi Manas, Sankat Mochan Temple and the new Vishwanath Temple. Followed by Ganga Aarti at Dasaswamedh Ghat and overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Varanasi – Delhi by Air
Visit Vishwanath temple, Morning after breakfast free day to explore the Ganga Ghat Afternoon later transfer to airport to fly back to Delhi.
