Golden Temple: The one of the most beautiful and Religious place in Amritsar. Sri Harmandir Sahib, also Sri Darbar Sahib and informally referred to as the "Golden Temple", is the holiest Gurdwara of Sikhism. The temple's architecture draws on both Hindu and Muslim artistic styles yet represents a unique coevolution of the two. During the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), Hari Mandir was richly ornamented with marble sculptures, golden gilding, and large quantities of precious stones. Within the sanctuary, on a jewel-studded platform, lies the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scripture of the Sikhs. This scripture is a collection of devotional poems, prayers, and hymns composed by the ten Sikh gurus and various Muslim and Hindu saints.

Wagha Border: Wagah is the border that lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar in Punjab, India and Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan. It is the only road border which crosses between India and Pakistan. The border is at a distance of 20 kms from Amritsar and 22 kms from Lahore. The Wagah border is a post between India and Pakistan. It has become famous for the beating the retreat ceremony which includes the closing of international gates and the lowering of the flags of both the countries. The flag code of India mandates that the national flag shall be flown only from sunrise to sunset. It is an entertainment ceremony and a highly stylized patriotic display as well as an energetic performance.

Durgiana Temple: A Significant Hindu Temple in Amritsar, Durgiana is around one and half kilometre from the Golden Temple and looks like a replica of the same. Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the temple was built in 1908 by Harsai Mal Kapoor. The temple complex encloses the seats of Lord Hanuman, Mata Shitla, along with Lakshmi Narain. Durgiana Temple: The Durgiana Mandir or Durgiana Temple is a Hindu temple that is dedicated to Goddess Durga, one of the many Hindu Goddesses. It is also called the Laxmi Narayan TempleThe main temple is comprised of the Durga temple that is set amidst a tank of water. Around the tank there is a walking path called the ‘parikrama’. This temple is also famous for smaller temples of Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, Hanuman and Goddess Sita.

Akal Takht: It is a Sikh temple built at the premise of the Golden Temple by Guru Hargobind Sahib as a place of justice and for resolving temporal issues. It is considered to be the highest seat of earthly authority of Khalsa. The literal meaning of Akal Takht is throne of the timeless one and it is a symbolic representation of the political sovereignty of the Sikhs.

Panchpula: Panchpula is located at a distance of around 3 km from Dalhousie. One of the famous picturesque spots in the region, the word Panchpula means five bridges. It is the place where a descending stream pours into and feeds several pools. The main stream that supplies water to cities of Dalhousie and Balloon is the Panchpula stream. The stream originates from the northern side of Dayakund, which then cuts through a ravine to fall into the water bodies located in Panchpula. A monument or a samadhi has been built where several streams meet at Panchpula in the memory of Sardar Ajit Singh, who was a great revolutionary.

Kalatop Wildlife sanctuary: Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the district of Chamba, is one of the most popular as well as most frequented sanctuaries in state of Himachal Pradesh. Popularly known as the Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary, the entire forest is covered with the thick foliage of deodar trees. In addition the sanctuary is also home to several animals and birds. Sprawling over an area of 1962 hectares, the sanctuary is located at a distance of 6 km from Dalhousie. The vegetation is in this sanctuary mainly comprises blue pine, fir and deodar trees.  Home to several species of animals and birds that reside within the forests make it one of the most popular tourist attractions of the entire State.

Dainkund Peak: Dainkund Peak, perched at an altitude of 2755 metre, is the highest mount in Dalhousie. Tourists can enjoy 360° view of the entire valley from this peak. The top of this hill is occupied by the Indian Air Force and from there a left turn will take tourists to the Pholani Devi Temple. Other Major Attractions

Jallianwala Bagh is the site of one of the most monstrous massacres in human history and a dark event during the Indian independence struggle. Also known as Amritsar massacre, as many as 1100 peaceful protesters were killed when British troops opened fire on April 13, 1919 at this place. The brutal murder of thousands added fuel to the fight against the British and raised severe questions about the British intentions to rule India in a humane way. Today, the park has been converted into a memorial who sacrificed their lives.

Dedicated to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, ‘the Lion of Punjab’, who freed a major part of Punjab from the shackles of the Mughals, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum is located in Lawrence Road, Company Bagh of Amritsar. The museum displays the chivalric activities of the Maharaja along with artefacts associated with the greatest battles he fought with his enemies. The light and sound show creates the feel of a real war situation with the booming sound-effects taking you to the past.

St. John's Church, oldest church of the town carries immense historical significance. Constructed during the rule of Britishers in India, this church was founded by the protestant missionaries.  Located amidst beautiful natural backdrop, this church is one of the most visited churches of the town. In addition, this church conducts services every Sunday. The place is not only popular among the devotees and religiously inclined people, but also among history lovers, avid readers and tourists. In addition, a library is also situated adjacent to this church.

 The Chamera Lake, located in Chamba District, is a popular tourist spot of Himachal Pradesh. Located at a distance of 25 km from Dalhousie, at an altitude of 1700 m, Chamera Lake is a reservoir formed by the Chamera Dam. Being a major source of water supply for the villages surrounding the lake and continuously fed by the Ravi River, the water levels in the lake ranges at an average of 750 m.

 St. Francis Church, located on the Subhash Chowk is one of the prominent monuments of Dalhousie. Constructed in 1894, this church is being maintained and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar. Perched at an altitude of 2036 m above sea level, the place has derived its name from the seven beautiful springs. It is believed that these springs have several therapeutic values. This is because water in these springs comprises mica, which is known as 'Gandhak' in local language. The mica has several medicinal properties, which helps in curing many diseases and ailments.
