5 day trip Itinerary for Gujrat Capital Darshan package

Day 1

Arrive in Ahmadabad on airport/railway station from where our representatives will pick you and transfer you to the hotel. After rest we will proceed for dinner at Manek Chowk and return to the hotel for overnight stay and dinner in hotel.

Manek Chowk is the central square of Ahmadabad’s oldest district, this market is filled with fruits, spices, traditional steel kitchen and table utensils shops along with gold and silver is sold here. At night, the square is transformed into a giant outdoor restaurant complete with tables, chairs, vendor booths and hundreds of hungry patrons. This tradition of serving food every night, began in the early 20th Century when hungry workers returned after late hours of work in the many nearby fabric mills.

Day 2

We leave from the hotel early morning for sightseeing in Ahmadabad. We start from a heritage walk of Old Ahmadabad where you’ll explore the old buildings and colonies (pols) of the old city. We start from Kalupur Swaminarayan temple it is the headquarters of the NarNarayan Dev Gadi, one of the two gadis the administration of the Swaminarayan Sampraday is divided into. The architechure of this temple is based on Burma teak wood, the archs and brackets are of bright different shade. The walk follows between a number of shrines, mosques and dargahs are in located in this area. This walk starts from Kalupur, continues in the walled city of Old Ahmadabad and finally ends at Manek Chowk.

We will proceed to Jama Masjid that is nearby Manek Chowk. The Jama Masjid is one of the oldest mosques in Ahmadabad built in the era of Ahmed Shah in 1424. The entire mosque is of grand shape and structure with around 15 domes and 260 spires.

We will proceed to Modhera Sun Temple, this is a temple dedicated to Hindu god Surya situated 102 km from Ahmadabad. It was built in 1026 AD by King Bhimdev. This temple is now under the supervision of Archaeological Survey of India and prayers are not offered in this temple. The trip will later proceed to Patan Step well and finally to Ambaji Temple, from here we will  return to Ahmadabad and will spend our evening at Kankaria Lake. This lake is beautiful and picturesque such as Kids City (Kids play area), Toy Train, Zoo, Water Rides, Food Stalls, Entertainment, Tethered Balloon Ride and much more.

Day 3

Today we will leave our hotel early morning and visit Sidi Saiyad Mosque which in one of the oldest mosques in India. This mosque is beautifully designed and is very popular between the tourists who visit this place every year. We will move to Sarkhez Roza from where we visit Sabarmati Ashram that is the most popular tourist place in the city as it was the home of “Father of Nation” Mahatma Gandhi. From here we will proceed to Sabarmati river front on the opposite side of the park and spend some time there after which will return to the hotel for overnight and dinner.

Day 4

Today we start early morning and visit Adalaj, a place famous for a step well that is 15 km from Gandhinagar on the National Highway. This place is famous for its unique Indo-Islamic architectural style.

We proceed for Indroda Nature Park, place famous for excavating remains of dinosaurs in India and is the second largest hatchery of dinosaurs in the world. They also have a zoo and a variety of trees set in this park.

Later we will spend some time at Sarita Udyan and move to Akshardham temple. This is one of the biggest temples in India This place is a cultural centre and attracts tourists from around the country.Recently they have springs up the first-of-its-kind laser water show in the world, which is must to see.
