Day 01: Arrived at Mumbai airport or railway station and proceed Matheran (80km/2 Hours)
After arrival at Mumbai airport or railway station and proceed to Matheran which is 80 km away from Mumbai. After reach check in to hotel and get ready to visit sightseeing of Matheran which includes Echo Point, Louisa Point and Charlotte Lake. After sightseeing you may have lunch in Mickey & Mooch Restaurant later you will visit some more famous places of Matheran which includes Panorama Point, Alexander Point and Morbe Dam. By the evening come back to hotel and overnight stay with dinner at Matheran hotel

Pune to Matheran by car
Matheran is situated at a distance of 125 km from Pune. Matheran is well connected to Pune by road. The best way to reach Matheran from Pune is by road, a journey of about 2 hour by car or bus. The parking entrance fees and daily parking fees need to be paid here. No vehicles are allowed beyond this point. Matheran distance is a 40-minute walk from Dasturi Car Park. Before you enter the limits of Matheran, Matheran Municipal council charges a fees of Rs 25 per adult and Rs 10 for children.

Bhivpuri is a town in Karjat Taluka near Mumbai, A temple of Sai Baba of Shirdi is located here. Numerous nearby waterfalls attract visitors on weekends. Bhivpuri Dam and a hydro-electricity generation plant of Tata Power are located nearby. Neral is the previous stop and Karjat is the next stop. There are some famous attarctive points where tourist visits for their adventural activity along with natural waterfall.
A perfect Break from the city life in Mumbai is a day trip to Bhivpuri waterfall during the every season but specially in monsoon. The Journey takes around 1 Hour and 20 Minutes from dadar railway station. From Bhivpuri road one can easily walk to the waterfall as opposed to getting off at Karjat from where tourists have around 2 km to reach waterfall. Bhekare waterfall is a famous waterfall rappelling spot near Bhivpuri (Karjat). Rappelling or abseiling is an activity used to descend a mountain or a fall in a safe way. Waterfall rappelling is difficult than normal rappelling as the rock patches are slippery and falling water acts as addition obstruction.

Mtheran is 7 km away from Neral, from Neral you can rent a taxi for Rs. 70 Per person or 300 Rs. for whole cab. The Neral to Matheran cab would drop you to the entrance of Matheran known as "Dasturi Naka"and you need to go on by foot or rent a horse to reach to the heart of Matheran. Matheran is also popular for trekkers who want to cover the journey by foot. From Dasturi Naka, Narel is about 8 kms. Morbe Dam: Morbe Dam is among the major attractions located in close proximity to Matheran The dam is built across Dharavi River and is spread over a surface area of around 9,780 sq km. The construction of the dam was started by Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran in 1999, for managing water supplies in the area.
