Kufri : Kufri Situated near the Himalayan range, Kufri is a picturesque hill station situated 20 km from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. Founded in 1819 by the British, the popularity of the hill station as a tourist spot grew only in the last few decades. Kufri derives its name from ‘Kufr’ which means lake. Kufri, Shimla and Chail form the Golden Triangle of Himachal Pradesh. The cool and pleasant climate, along with stunning natural beauty, makes Kufri a perfect summer getaway.

After breakfast we check out from hotel and proceed to seeing local like mall road, Jakhoo Hill, Summer Hill, Tara Devi temple, Indian Institute of advance studies and in evening night come back to overnight stay at hotel.
Mall Road : - Shimla‘s most popular spot is the Mall Road, which is its main street and a common hang-out place for visitors. It is here that you can witness all of Shimla’s vibrant qualities – its beautiful weather, its lovely locals and its amazing holiday atmosphere. All the shops, stores, cafes and everything of use is located along this road. The Mall road is one level under the Ridge road which is another famous tourist spot.
Jakhoo Hill : - Situated 2 km from Shimla, Jakhoo Hill is the highest peak in the entire hill station offers scenic view of the city and snow capped Himalayan Mountains. The 8000 feet Jakhoo Hill is a famous tourist attraction that is visited by nature lovers and pilgrims as well. It is home to the ancient Jakhoo Temple, which has a large statue of Hanuman, its chief deity. Located at an altitude of 8500 feet above sea level, the 108 feet tall statue has sensors to drive away the birds.
Summer Hill: - Summer Hill is also called as Potter’s Hill. In the past, this was where potters used to gather clay to make pots. At a height of 1283 meter above sea level, Summer Hill offers spectacular views of the valley and the greenery around. It is 5 km from the famous Ridge, which is frequented by tourists in great numbers. The hill is a part of a cluster of seven hills, which form Shimla and hence you are sure to have breathtaking sights from the top.
Indian Institute of advance studies :- The Indian Institute of Advanced Study is housed in the famous Viceregal Lodge situated on top of the Observatory Hill. Viceregal Lodge is also called Rashtrapati Niwas. The building was constructed between 1880 and 1888 during British reign. The year 1965 saw the establishment of Indian Institute of Advanced Study here by Dr. Radhakrishnan.

Jakhoo Hill - No 3 Beauty in Shimla
Jakhoo Hill is at an altitude of about 2455 m above sea level and is the highest peak in shimla offering great views . There is an ancient Lord Hanuman temple at the top of the Jakhoo hill and can be easily reached from Ridge near Church by walking for at most an hour. The walk to the temple is through the dense forests of Deodar trees but the climb is very tiresome if one is not used to it.
There are many mischivious monkeys in Jakhoo Hill, Over the years these simians have become very smart and clever. Their whole intention is to get the food stuff from tourists.
Never Wear Glasses in Jakhu Hill
Monkeys usually snach sunglasses or spectackes, they do it so fast and aggressivy that tourists can not even react. They will jump on you, take away your glasses and ride above the tree. Now the only way to get back same is offering food or fruit bribe to monkeys. Hence always keep your glasses in your pocket..
Never Carry a Bag in your hand - Shoulder or back bag is preferred.

Annandale - No 4 Beauty in Shimla
Annandale is the flat terrain/Ground in Shimla located at about 2-4 kilometers away from the Ridge and has been developed as the playground of the city. Annadale is currently maintained by Indian Airforce, who uses it as a forward helipad. However Annandel is a clear tourist attraction and becoming favourite spot for playing Cricket matches, having family Picnics, Golf and Polo etc. This is the highest point and is quite rewarding as you can get the best views of the city and its surroundings.

Viceregal Lodge & Botanical Gardens : No 6 Beauty in Shimla
On the Observatory Hills is located Viceregal Lodge, which is also known as "Rashtrapati Niwas". This magnificent building was the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin. This lodge was completed in 1888 and it is said that every brick for the building was carried by mules. This is a six-story building and is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and lawns. The lodge has now been converted into Institute of Advanced Study and is further 2-km from State Museum.
