Day 1: Arrival at Leh and Halfday Sight Seeing Tour

The guests are received at the Leh Airport and taken to their respective hotels. With a traditional welcome they are given local welcome drink on arrival. After the lunch the guests are taken to half day sightseeing tour of Leh covering Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa etc. Return to hotel for High Tea with your colleagues and friends. The evening is planned with the cultural show by the local artists. Later have a relaxed dinner and unwind among your colleagues.

Day 2: Conference/Kick-off meeting

Have a buffet break at the hotel and then attend the conference/Kick-off meeting throughout the day. Have the delicious lunch buffet laid down by the chefs in the meeting break. Have the High Tea in the evening after the end of conference. Later in evening explore the local market for the local products like Apricot jam and juices,woollens and Pashmina shawls. Return to the Dinner buffet.

Day 3: Excursion to Khardungla Pass/ Kargil.

The guests have option to choose the destination. So be it Khardungla Pass or  Kargil  the full day excursion is customized according to the choice of the company and its employees. The guests are given the packed lunches from the hotels (option of momos/sandwiches/fried rice /noodles) .Have a visit to the famous Thicksey monastery. Day 4: Departure from Leh

Appropriate Time to visit Leh

Plan your office meet or conference between April to September during the summer season when the climate is very pleasant. The winters are very cold and harsh during   October to March.

Route plan

The town of Leh is well connected to Srinagar, Delhi and Chandigarh by direct flight. Guests coming from Pune should first reach Mumbai by Pune Express Highway and then take a flight to Leh from Mumbai. The flights from Mumbai to Leh have a stopover at New Delhi and hence it may take about eight hours to reach Leh. Upon reaching Leh guests are taken to the hotel The Grand Dragon Ladakh.

Ladakh Festival

If your conference is scheduled during the September you might be lucky enough to witness the week long Ladakh festival. Sindhu Darshan Festival

Sindhu Darshan festival is the two day festival that takes place in Month of June.Organised in the bank of River Indus it’s embarked by the cultural and musical performance. The festival celebrates the unity of all the regions that coexist in the society of Leh in harmony. This year in 2014, it will be celebrated on 12^th and 13^th of June.

Places of Interests in Leh

Khardungla Pass

It is located at the magnificent height of 18379ft and is located at about 39 km from Leh. It has Historical reference as being the part of Silk Route connecting Leh to Chinese city Kashgar. The temperature is cold and is around 20 degree in summers. A gateway to the Nubra valley; it serves as the destination for cycle and motorbike expedition and claims to be highest motorable Pass.

Leh Palace

Situated at Namgyal Hill  in seventeen century by The King Singe Namgyal, it's architecture reflects the influence of Tibetan Culture. The abode of the Royals of the Leh now houses a museum and the office of Archeological Conservation Organization. The entrance fee of museum is approximately Rs 15 for Indian nationals and Rs 100 for foreign tourists. It’s opened between 7am to 10am and 4pm to 6pm and houses ancient paintings, ornaments and traditional royal dresses.

Kargil

The town of Kargil (220 km from Leh) is at about 4 hours drive from Leh. The town has a Drass War Memorial and is visited by the tourists to pay homage to Indian War Heroes. The Suru Valley lies between Kargil and Pengi La and houses for Apricot and Apple Orchards. Some other places worth visiting in Kargil are Rangdum Monastery and Lamayuru Monastery.Rangdum Monastery has a museum showcasing the Tibetan artifacts.
