Explore Kaza - Himchal - India ( Roof of the World - 3650 meters - Indo - Tibet Border)

Kaza is greatly Inspired by Tibet and Ladakh Buddhist culture. Kaza is situated along the Spiti River river at an elevation of 3,650 metres (11,980 ft) above mean sea level, is the largest township and commercial center of the Spiti valley .
TABO Village (3050 m) : 47 km from Kaza is the ancient village of Tabo, has one of the most important Buddhist monasteries regarded by many as only next to the Tholing Gompa in Tibet. It is also known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas. Tabo is the largest monastic complex of Spiti which has since been declared a protected monument of India.
KEY GOMPA (4116m) : 7 km from Kaza. The largest monastery in Spiti Valley. Established in the 11th century has ancient Buddhist scrolls and paintings. It also houses large number of Buddhist monks and nuns.
KIBBER Village (4205m) : 18 km from Kaza. The highest village in the world which is connected by motorable road and is the highest habitated village in the world which has its own polling station during elections.
PIN VALLEY : The Pin valley lies below the Kungri Glacier and has several beautiful and important monasteries. iT is called the land of Ibex and snow leopards.
KUNZAM PASS (4551m) : 76 km. One of the highest motorable pass. Goddess Kunjum keeps guard over this pass and wards off evil.
CHANDER TAL LAKE (4270m) : 7 km from Kunzam Pass, is one of the most beautiful lakes in the entire Himalayan region. Surrounded by snow, this deep blue water lake has a circumferences of 2.5 km. River Chandra flows very close to the lake.
Explore Sangla Valley - Himchal - India ( Indo - Tibet Border)
Sangla Valley or the Baspa Valley starts at Sangla and ends at Chitkul. The valley is surrounded by forested slopes and offers view of the high mountains.
It's location in the Greater Himalayan range gives it a milder climate than the plains.
Sangla Valley is a part of Kinnaur and inhabited by Kinnauris. The main livelihood is agriculture while apples are a major cash crop here. A part of the population also depends on tourism. The valley remains closed for six months during winter (from December till may) when the snowfall is heavy. The old Indo-Tibet road connects Sangla to The National Highway 22 at Karcham.

More About Sangla Attractions
Chitkul - 20 kms from sangla and last inhabited village at indo-tibet border. You can visit the temple "Mata Devi" in chitkul which is the attraction of this village. Entire kinnaur comes to worship at mata devi temple . During winters you can see heavy snow fall at this village.
The Baspa River
The Baspa River starts and orginates from baspa hills and passes through valley. Most scenic in its way huge oak and pine forests gives it a beauty which attracts visitors. Baspa river is a big attraction for the campers and trekkers. Tourist cross the river in a basket or river crossing ropes which is kind of adventure activity.
Lots of variety of fishes which you can find here and trout fish is the most famous. Best time for fishing is october for brown and rainbow trouts.
