About Vijaywada

Vijayawada is an important port in south India and is considered to be the cultural capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Situated at the head of the Krishna Delta, Vijayawada derives its name from that of its presiding deity goddess Vijaya. Vijayawada is at a distance of 70 km from the sea and is surrounded by bare granite hills.
